Min Historic 08/12/2019 4 OP C/8 rex ns "CITY OF CHOICE" HISTORIC COMMITTEE MEETING City of Cibolo 200 S.Main Street August 12,2019 6:30-8:30 PM MINUTES 1. Call to Order—Meeting was called to order by Mr. Villela at 6:31 p.m. 2. Roll Call and Excused Absences—Members Present: Mr. Villela, Ms. Meadows, Ms. Womack, Ms. Kearns, Ms. Cleary, Mr. Hicks and Mr. Delgado; Members Absent: Ms. Casey. Ms. Meadows made the motion to excuse the absence of Ms. Casey. Motion was seconded by Mr. Hicks. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 6 to 0. 3. Moment of Silence/Invocation—Mr. Villela requested a Moment of Silence. 4. Pledge of Allegiance—All in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance. 5. Citizens to be Heard This is the only time during the meeting that a citizen can address the Cibolo Historic Committee. It is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the Committee on any issue to include agenda items. All visitors wishing to speak must fill out the Sign-In Roster prior to the start of the meeting. The Cibolo Historic Committee may not debate any non-agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on any non- agenda issue at this time, however, the Committee may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens. (Attorney General Opinion— JC-0169) (Limit of three minutes each.) All remarks shall be addressed to the Committee as a body, and not to any individual member thereof. Any person making personal, impertinent,,or slanderous remarks while addressing the Cibolo Historic Committee may be requested to leave the meeting. No citizens signed up to be heard. 6. Consent Agenda A. Approval of minutes of the July 8, 2019 Historic Committee Meeting. Mr. Hicks made the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion was seconded by Ms. Kearns. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 6 to 0. 7. Discussion/Action A. Discussion of proposed projects and/or plans for the committee. The group talked about Cibolofest. Ms. Meadows stated that she was unable to contact anyone at Mt. Coffee but did contact someone at wooden nickel. The cost would be 1000 for$285.00 with a 2 to 3 week delivery time. The group would need to decide by next meeting. They talked about t-shirt for the event. Green shirts with white lettering. They talked about canopies for the event with a couple individuals stating they may have tents to use. Sign-up for event will be at the next meeting. Ms. Womack spoke on having a cemetery walk at Halloween time. It would be a great opportunity to get some of the school kids involved. Ms. Womack will check with the school and bring back to next meeting. Facebook page was brought up and Ms. Meadows stated she was posting basic information. Ms. Cleary stated she had attended the Schertz Historical Meeting and they had a lot to interesting information. This group had been organized for several years now and hold their meetings at the library. The group had a great meeting with a lot of information. Follow-up will be in September. 8. Future agenda items and dates—Follow-up on Cibolofest and Halloween Walk. 9. Adjournment—Ms. Cleary made the motion to adjourn at 7:18 p.m. Motion was seconded by Ms. Womack. For: All; Against:None.
