Call to Order—Meeting was called to order by Ms. Herr at 6:30 p.m. 2. Roll Call—Ms. Herr, Ms. Dodd, Mr. Hicks,Mr. Zawicki,Mr. Matheny, Mr. Benigno, Ms. Bruce and, Mr. White. 3. Moment of Silence/Invocation—Ms. Herr ask all in attendance for a Moment of Silence. 4. Pledge of Allegiance—All those in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance. 5. Oath of Office—Mr. White was given,the Oath of Office. 6. Citizens to be Heard This is the only time during the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting that a citizen can address the Commission. It is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the Commission on any issue to include agenda items. All visitors wishing to speak must fill out the Sign-In Roster prior to the start of the meeting.Parks and Recreation Commission may not debate any non-agenda issue,nor may any action be taken on any non-agenda issue at this time;however,the Commission may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens. (Attorney General Opinion-JC- 0169) (Limit of three minutes each.) All remarks shall be addressed to the Commission as a body. Remarks may also be addressed to any individual member of the Commission so long as the remarks are (i) about matters of local public concern and (ii) not disruptive to the meeting or threatening to the member or any attendee. Any person violating this policy may be requested to leave the meeting,but no person may be requested to leave or forced to leave the meeting because of the viewpoint expressed. This meeting is livestreamed. If anyone would like to make comments on any matter regarding the City of Cibolo or on an agenda item and have this item read at this meeting, please email pcimics(a,cibolotx.gov or text 210-566-6111 before 5:00pm the date of the meeting. No individuals signed up to speak. 7. Consent Agenda A. Approval of the minutes from March 2, 2022. Mr. Matheny made the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion was seconded by Mr. Benigno. For: All; Against:None. Motion carried 7 to 0. 8. Discussion A. Discussion/Action and update on upcoming events or projects for FY 2022. Miracle Field ribbon cutting and grand opening on April 21. Summer Nights Days are May 13, June 10,July 17, and August 5. Memorial Day Event—Event is set for Veteran Memorial Park(3900 Cibolo Valley Drive)on May 30th at loam. Mr. Matheny has the chaplain and will confirm the speaker and the person that will sing the National Anthem. Hot Dogs,Buns, Water for the event will be purchased by the city. Parks Commission needs to get with the Fire Department to see if they will cook the hog dogs. Ms. Dodd will see if she could get a donation of small American Flags that could be sent out. Mr. Hicks stated that he would get the bio from Mr. Minton. Invitations to both Cibolo and Schertz needs to be sent. B. Discussion/Action on budget for PicklebalUPicnic. Pickleball is scheduled on April 23 from 5pm to 9pm at Niemietz Park. Motion was made by Mr. Matheny to spend $315.00 on the event. Motion was seconded by Mr. White. For: All;Against:None. Motion carried 7 to 0. All members to arrive at the park at 3:45pm for setup. C. Discussion on support of City planned events. Market Days continue and volunteers to help are always needed. D. Discussion/Action on setting a time for Parks tour. At this time the tour is set for May 14. Members will meet at City Hall and we will take two vehicle and tour all parks. Tour should take approx. 2hrs. This is the time to take notes so questions can be ask and answered at the next scheduled meeting. 9. Set a Date and Time for Next Meeting—Next meeting scheduled for May 4,2022 at 6:30pm 10. Future Agenda Items—No new items at this time. 11. Adjournment—Mr. Matheny made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:25pm. Motion was seconded by Mr. Benigo. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 7 to 0.
