HISTORIC COMMITTEE MEETING
City'of Cibolo

MINUTES:.
1. Call to Order=Meeting was called to order by Chairman Ms: Womack at 6:30.p.m.
2. Roll Call and Excused Absences-Members Present: Ms. Womack, Ms. Casey, Mr:Hicks,Mr.
Merillat, and Ms. Blackmon; Members: Absent: Ms.:Henry and Ms. Kearns. Motion made.by Ms..
Womack to excuse the absences of both.Ms. Henry and Ms. Kearns. Motion was seconded by Ms.
Casey., For: All; Against:.None. Motion carried 5 to 0:
3. Moment of Silence/hivocation Ms. Womack ask for a Moment of Silence.
4. Pledge of Allegiance—All in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
5. Oath of Office—No Oath given at this,time.
6. Citizens to be Heard ..
This is the only time during the Historic.Meeting that a citizen can address the Historic Committee. It
is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the Committee Members on any issue to include
agenda items.All visitors wishing to speak must fill:out the Sign-In Roster prior to the start of the
meeting. Committee Members may not.debate any non-agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on
any non-agenda issue at this time;however, Committee Members may present any factual response to .
items brought up by citizens. (Attorney General Opinion— JC-0169) (Limit of three minutes each.) .
All remarks shall be addressed to the Historic Committee as.a body,and not to any individual member
thereof.Public criticism of the Historic Committee Members or any:action,policy,program,or service
provided by the City is not prohibited. However,, any person making personal, impertinent, or,
slanderous remarks to individual members of the Historic Committee while addressing the Committee
may be requested to leave the meeting.WE CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN.'60 PEOPLE IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBERS DURING THIS MEETING - AND MAINTAIN SOCIAL

mutter regarding the City of Cibolo or on an agenda item and have this item read at this meeting,

7. Consent A eg nda
A. Approval-of minutes of the March 15,202 1, Historic Committee Meeting.
Ms.. Casey made the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion was seconded by Mr..Hicks.
For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 5 to 0.
8. -Discussion/Action
A.Discussion/Action,on the Historical Map of Downtown.
The Committee Vent over the map and made a few corrections. Before the map can be copied and .
placed at businesses and possibly the newcomers packet those corrections will:need to be made.
B. Discussion/Action on becoming a:partner city with Nassau, Germany.
This-item was briefed by Ms. Casey. Ms.Womack stated that the committee.would need additional
information before in decision could be made. This item will be brought back to a later agenda.
C..Discussion on a 1950's booklet of Cibolo.
This item was tabled to a future meeting.
D.. Discussion on.F.ounder's Day Event for Cibolo.
This item was briefed by Ms.Casey. Her thoughts were that they would get different culture groups
. .
that would have a booth(Germany,Native American, Spanish, etc.): Booths would sell:items from
the country they represented and also food items from that part of the world. This is.on-going
discussion and will be looked at again. .
E. Discussion-on any otherupcoming events.
Other events that were discussed before-with the cemetery walk. This maybe able to be-combined
combined with other events. No decision has been made_ at this time on any events for=the
remainder of the year.
..9. Future agenda items and date of next meeting
Next meeting will be on November 10, 2021.
10. Adjournment-Motion was made by Mr. Merillat to adjourn at 7:17 p.m and seconded by Ms. Casey:
