Min CC 07/20/2009 - Special/Budget Workshop CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING AND BUDGET WORKSHOP 200 South Main, Cibolo, Texas 78108 July 20, 2009 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. MINUTES 1. Call to Order—Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hartman at 6:01 p.m. 2. Roll Call Mayor Hartman Mayor Pro-Tem Winn Councilman Pedde Councilman Krasnai Councilman Wiederstein Councilwoman Davis Councilman Liparoto Councilman Hetzel Staff: City Manager Pearson, City Attorney Zech, City Secretary Cimics 3. Invocation—Councilwoman Davis gave the invocation. 4. Pledge of Alle iance—The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Winn. 5. Citizens to be Heard This is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the City Council on any issue. City Council may not debate any non-agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on any non- agenda issue at this time, however, City Council may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens. No citizens signed up to be heard. 6. Executive Session The City Council will meet in Executive Session as authorized by the Texas Gov't Code Sec. 551.074 Personnel Matters to discuss the following. A. Discussion regarding the employment, appointment, duties and responsibilities of the City Manager. Council adjourned into Executive Session at 6:02 p.m. Council reconvened into Regular Session at 6:14 p.m. No action taken. 7. Adjournment of Special Council Meeting Councilman Winn moved to adjourn the Special Council meeting at 6:14 p.m. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pedde. For: Council Members: Pedde, Krasnai,Wiederstein, Winn,Davis, Liparoto and Hetzel; Against: None. Motion carried 7 to 0. 8. Call to Order the Budget Workshop= Budget Workshop was called to order at 6:15 p.m. Mayor Hartman left at 6:16 p.m. and Mayor Pro-tem Winn took over the chair of the workshop. All other Council Members were present. Staff present: City Manager Bruce Pearson, City Secretary Peggy Cimics, Finance Director LeAnn Piatt, Court Clerk Tonya Fullenwider, Permit Clerk Beth Mireles and Building Inspector Ted Kryger. 9. Discussion and direction to staff regarding the FY 2009-10 Budget to include city services, priorities and capital improvements. Council discussed the FY 2009-2010 Budget to include city services, priorities and capital improvements. 10. Adjournment Councilman Wiederstein moved to adjourn the Budget Workshop at 8:08 p.m. Motion was seconded by Councilman Liparoto. For: All; Against: None. Motion carried 7 to 0.
