TEXAS PARKS AND RECREATION
SMALL COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS, DESIGNATING OFFICALS AS BEING
REPONSIBLE FOR THE CITY OF CIBOLO IN DEALING WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
WILDLIFE (TPW),FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARTICIPATING IN THE TEXAS RECREATION AND
ACCOUNT SMALL COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM, PROVIDING CERTIFICATION THAT
THE CITY OF CIBOLO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE PROGRAM ASSISTANCE; CERTIFIYING
THAT THE CITY OF CIBOLO WILL PROVIDE THE MATCHING FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE
PROJECT; AND CERTIFIYING THT THE PROPERTY NAMED IN THIS RESOLUTION SHALL
REMAIN AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC FOR PARK AND RECREATION USES FOREVER.
WHEREAS,the City of Cibolo, a political subdivision with a population of under 20,000, is fully eligible
to receive assistance under the Texas Parks and Recreation Small Community Grant Program; and
WHEREAS,the City of Cibolo authorizes the Mayor to act in its behalf regarding the application for a
grant not to exceed$50,000; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO:
Section 1: That the City of Cibolo certifies that it is eligible to received assistance under this program and
that notice of this application and a public hearing have been held to discuss the proposed park
improvements after the posting of proper notice.
Section 2: That the City of Cibolo certifies that is has sufficient funds to match the amount provided by
this program and directs the Mayor to appropriate these funds and make the property budget adjustment.
Section 3: The City of Cibolo hereby specifically authorizes and direct Mayor Charles Ruppert to act for
the City when dealing with TPW for the purposes of the program, and Mayor Ruppert is hereby officially
designated as the representative in this regard.
Section 4: That the City of Cibolo specifically authorizes and directs Mayor Charles Ruppert to make
application to TPW concerning the Deer Creek Park in the City of Cibolo for use as a park site and hereby
remains dedicated and available to the public for park and recreation uses in perpetuity.
Section 5: A copy of this application has been submitted to the Alamo Area Council of Governments for
Texas Review and Comments consideration.
