RESOLUTION NUMBER 1131
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT AND RECLASSIFICATION
OF EMPLOYEES AND ADOPTION OF A REVISED ORGANIZATIONAL CHART.
THIS RESOLUTION ALSO HAS THE EFFECT OF ADOPTING A REVISED SALARY
SCHEDULE TO REFLECT CHANGES IN AUTHORIZED POSITIONS ENACTED IN
CITY OF CIBOLO RESOLUTIONS 1129 AND 1130.
WHEREAS The City of Cibolo does not currently have accurate job
descriptions or task statements and performance measures for
Municipal Employees;
AND WHEREAS, The City Council of Cibolo has determined that
reclassification of public employees will increase the efficiency
of Municipal Government;
AND WHEREAS, The City Council of Cibolo believes that employee
compensation should reflect both job requirements and job
performance;
AND WHEREAS, such action dealing with positions authorized in the
adopted budget may require an accompanying budget resolution by
the City Council ;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO TEXAS:
The City of Cibolo, Texas does hereby authorize the City
Administrator to proceed with creating job descriptions, perform
annual evaluations of employees as outlined in the Adopted
Personnel Regulations of the City of Cibolo and reclassifying
employees in advance of preparing the 1994-95 Proposed Budget.
Additionally, the City Administrator is ordered to prepare a
revised organizational chart and seek the consent of the City
Council in adopting the revised Organization Structure and
adjusting employee compensation accordingly. Under no
circumstance may the City Administrator exceed the funds
appropriated for salaries by the Adopted 1993-94 Cibolo City
Budget.
The reclassification of employees authorized by this Resolution
takes effect April 1, 1994.
