RESOLUTION NO. 1389
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS, (CITY) AS TO
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A HISTORIC LAND USE COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City believes that preservation of Historic areas of the City
of Cibolo is important to the vitality, health and prosperity of the City of Cibolo;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City desires that information be gathered and collected
regarding the historical areas of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City believes that a Historic Land Use Committee (HLC)
should be established, for a period of no more than two (2) years, so as to oversee
and collect information regarding the historic areas of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City has authorized that an HLC Committee be created
and composed of seven(7)members,appointed by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CIBOLO,TEXAS,THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council for City of Cibolo hereby establishes a committee called the Historic Land Use
Committee, consisting of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council to oversee and collect
information regarding the historic areas of the City.
The HLC shall automatically dissolve on the second anniversary of the adoption of this resolution.
The HLC shall create by-laws,to be approved by the City Council,under which they shall operate.
The HLC members shall serve at the will and pleasure of the City Council.
The HLC shall provide City Council with a report every six (6) months beginning on the sixth month
after HLC has been established.
The HLC may be abolished at any time by City Council upon a majority of vote of the Council.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its final adoption.
