RESOLUTION NO. 1509
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RELEASE OF EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION BY THE CITY OF SAN ANTONIO TO THE CITY OF CIBOLO;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE RELEASED EXTRA
TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION BY THE CITY OF CIBOLO.
WHEREAS, the City of San Antonio's ETJ extends and is contiguous to the extraterritorial
jurisdiction(ETJ)of the City of Cibolo along I.H. 10; and
WHEREAS, by this Resolution the Cibolo City Council is requesting that San Antonio City Council
release the extraterritorial jurisdiction as shown in Exhibit A, so that Cibolo can extend
its extraterritorial jurisdiction to that area; and
WHEREAS, the extraterritorial jurisdiction as shown in Exhibit A is included in the possible Police
and Fire service area per the Capital Improvement Project #13, Public Safety Facilities
along I.H. 10; and
WHEREAS, the extraterritorial jurisdiction as shown in Exhibit A is included in the possible water
service area per the Capital Improvement Project #2A, Water Storage and Distribution
along I.H. 10; and
WHEREAS, the extraterritorial jurisdiction as shown in Exhibit A is included in the possible sanitary
sewer service area per the Capital Improvement Project #4A, Extend Sanitary Sewer
Service South of FM 78—Sewer Plant; and
WHEREAS, development within the extraterritorial jurisdiction as shown in Exhibit A will have
direct fiscal and land use impacts on the City of Cibolo; and
WHEREAS, the Cibolo City Council respectfully requests that the release of this extraterritorial
jurisdiction so that the City of Cibolo can eventually serve this area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cibolo has master planned a predominant portion of this area and fully intends
to update their master plan to include any release of extraterritorial jurisdiction, provide
rules and regulations for development within the area, and enforcement of such rules and
regulations as allowed under State law to provide for the health safety and welfare of the
public; and
WHEREAS, the Cibolo City Council recognizes the ETJ territory that San Antonio is releasing and
gratefully acknowledges the cooperation and "good neighbor" efforts the San Antonio
City Council will be extending to our City.
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO,TEXAS:
The Cibolo City Council hereby respectfully requests that the City of San Antonio City Council release
the extraterritorial jurisdiction described and set out in Exhibit A from their jurisdiction,as is fully copied
and incorporated in this Resolution..
The Cibolo City Manager is authorized and directed to speak on behalf of the City of Cibolo in regards to
this request and execute any and all documents reasonably necessary to facilitate the requested release.
The City Council of the City of Cibolo will extend their extraterritorial jurisdiction to this area once the
City of San Antonio has released the same as authorized by Tex. Loc. Gov't. Code§ 42.023.
The City Council of the City of Cibolo wishes to express its gratitude to the City Council of the City
San Antonio for their release of this extraterritorial jurisdiction so that the City of Cibolo can serve this
area.

Exhibit A
General Description of
Area Out of the San Antonio Extraterritorial Jurisdiction
Description of a 1,454.63 Acre tract of land out of the San Antonio Extra Territorial
Jurisdiction (ETJ) in Guadalupe County, Texas. Said 1,454.63 Acres of land is adjacent to the
established City of Cibolo ETJ, Guadalupe County, Texas.
BEGINNING: At the intersection of west line of Zeuhl Road and the South line of Interstate
Highway (IH) 10 in Guadalupe County, Texas, said point being on the South Line
of the City Limits for the City of Cibolo, Guadalupe County, Texas.
THENCE: In an easterly direction with the South Line of IH 10 and the South City Limit
Line of the City of Cibolo approximately 7,765 feet to the intersection of the South
Line of IH 10 and the ETJ for the City of San Antonio East,
THENCE: Departing the South line of IH 10 and following the San Antonio ETJ line, in a
southerly direction with a curve to the right a distance of 5,173 feet to the South
line of Gin Road. Said curve having an interior angle of 11° 13" 39", radius of
26,400 feet and a chord length of 5,163 feet.
THENCE: Following along the South Line of Gin Road, also known as Guadalupe County
Road 304, a distance of approximately 11,010 feet to the centerline of Cibolo
Creek, Said centerline of Cibolo Creek being the west boundary of Guadalupe
County and the East boundary of Bexar County.
THENCE: In a northerly direction with the meanders of the Centerline of Cibolo Creek and
the West Boundary of Guadalupe County a distance of approximately 10,210 feet
to a point of intersection of the Centerline of Cibolo Creek and the South line of
the City of Cibolo ETJ.
THENCE: Departing the Centerline of Cibolo Creek in an easterly direction and following
the south line of the Cibolo ETJ a distance of approximately 4,032 feet to a point
on the North Line of Zeuhl Road, also known as Guadalupe County Road 325.
THENCE: Continuing along the West Line of Zeuhl Road, also being the south line of the
Cibolo ETJ a distance of approximately 1,120 feet to a point for the East comer of
a 12.863 acre tract.
THENCE: Departing the West Line of Zeuhl Road in a westerly direction and with the South
Line of the said 12.863 acre tract a distance of approximate 919 feet to the South
comer of said 12.863 acre tract.
THENCE: Continuing along the West Line of said 12.863 acre tract a distance of approximate
554 feet the South Line of IH 10 and the West corner of said 12.863 acre tract.
THENCE: With the South Line of IH 10 in an easterly direction approximately 878 feet to
the place of beginning and containing 1,454.63 Acres more or less.
