Call to Order—Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jackson at 5:02 p.m. 2. Roll Call— Mayor Jackson, Councilman Pedde, Councilman Garrett, Councilman Castro, Councilman Carlton, Councilman Hogue and Councilman Dunn (arrived at 5:12 p.m.); City Manager Herrera, City Secretary Cimics, Public Works Director Fousse, City Engineer Klein, City Planner Gonzalez,Fire Chief Niemietz and ED Director Luft. City Manager Herrera gave an introduction to all in attendance. 3. Review current status of Potable Water Inventory for the City of Cibolo. A. Water sources and contracts. B. CCN territory for water. C. Actual/Projected water usage. Mr.Fousse the Public Works Director went over the water needs for the city. Current City consumption (5,275 connections)has been 1,550 acre feet per year. (Average for 2011 —2014). This is equal to 506,000,000 gallons per year. The average consumption per connection is 7,900 gallons/month. The usual planning amount is 12,000 gallon/month. The TCEQ alternative capacity requirement for Cibolo is 18,144. Currently Cibolo has approximately 50 residential lots left to be developed on the city water system. There are approximately 25 commercial connections under development at this time. No new sub-developments are currently being constructed within our water service area.There are 3 tracts being considered but are at least 2 years away from making connections to our system. With the collapse of the GVSUD agreement Cibolo has lost 1,400 to 1,800 connections to our water system—a yearly revenue loss of$480,000 to$640,000 a year. Mr.Fousse also went over the projected growth rate through 2050. 4. Review Hays Caldwell Public Utility Agency Proposal. A. Canyon Regional Water Authority. 5. Review Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporation(SSLGC)Proposal. 6. Review Cibolo Valley Local Government Corporation(CVLGC)Project. Mr.Herrera and Mr.Fousse went over the Hays Caldwell Public Utility, Schertz Sequin Local Gov. Corp and the Cibolo Valley Local Gov Corp. All three agencies/corporations had individual in the audience that could answer questions to council if needed. 1 7. Summary and Comparison. Mr.Herrera concluded the workshop by stating the Cibolo needs to keep options open and always monitor what's going on around us. Without water there is no economic development. Cibolo will continue to have dialogue with GVSUD. 8. Adjournment.
