ORDINANCE NO. 96:3
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FORA PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC
HEARING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS:
Section 1 . On the 11th day of June, 1974 at 6:00 o'clock in the
City Hall of the City of Cibolo, Texas the Council will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard
on the proposed annexation by the City of Cibolo, Texas of the following
described property, to wit:
Description of a 2)4.4 acre tract of land, more or less, being 2)4.)4
acres of land out of the James W. Gray Survey No . 255, Guadalupe
County, Texas, and being One, 15.3 acres of land out of that certain
100.0 acre tract of land conveyed by Karl Orth, et ux, to Oscar Orth,
by deed dated July 24., 1943 and recorded in Volume 201 on page 13
of the deed records of Guadalupe County, Texas, and Two, all of that
certain 9.1 acre tract of land conveyed by Oscar Orth to Elton C. Orth,
et ux, and deed dated August 2)4, 1967 and recorded in Volume 401 on
page 129 of the deed records of Guadalupe County, Texas, and in all
being 24.4 acres of land described more particularly by metes and '
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northeast line of F.M. Road 1103, the
Southwest line of the above described Oscar Orth 100.0 acre tract, being
N. 30 degrees 00' W. 2,913 .0 feet from the South corner of the said
Oscar Orth 100.0 acre tract, being the West corner of a 76.7 .9 acre
tract of land previously annexed by the City of Cibolo, Texas, the
South corner of the herein described 24.4 acre tract;
THENCE with the Northeast line of F.M. Road 1103, the Southwest line of
the said Oscar Orth 100.0 acre tract, N. 30 degrees 00' W., more or
less, 591 .1 feet, more or less, to an iron pin set for the South corner
of the above described Elton C. Orth, et ux, 9.1 acre tract;
THENCE with the Northeast line of F.M. Road 1103, the Southwest line of
the said Elton C. Orth 9.1 acre tract, N. 34 degrees 14.' W. 392.6 feet
to a corner post set for the West corner of the said 9.1 acre tract,
for the West corner of this tract;
THENCE with the fence, the Northwest line of the said 9.1 acre tract, N.
60 degrees 00' E. 929.4 feet to a corner post set for the West corner
of a Cemetery, for a North corner of the said 9.1 acre tract, for a
North corner of this tract;
THENCE with the common line between the said Cemetery tract and the
said 9.1 acre tract, S. 30 degrees 00' E. 202.7 feet, and N. 60 degrees
00' E. 200.2 feet to a corner post in the original Northeast line of
the afore said Oscar Orth 100.0 acre tract, set for a North corner of
the said Elton Orth 9.1 acre tract, for North corner of this tract;

THENCE with the Northeast line of the said 9.1 acre tract, S. 30
degrees 00' E. 189.8 feet to an iron pin set for the East corner
of the said 9.1 acre tract;
THENCE continuing with the fence, the original Northeast line of the
said Oscar Orth 100.0 acre tract, S. 30 degrees 00' E. 591 .1 feet to
a point, the North corner of the afore said 76.749 acre tract of land
annexed by the City of Cibolo, the East corner of this tractp
THENCE with the Northwest line of the said 76.749 acre tract S. 60
degrees 00' W. 1 ,115.3 feet, ;ore or less, to the place of bginnings=

Section 2 . The Mayor of the City of Cibolo is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once inaa
newspaper having general circulation in the city and in the above described
territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the
date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation
Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963;
compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.)
Section 3. The importance of this ordinance creates an emergency and
an imperative public necessity that the rule requiring ordinances to be
read at three several meetings be suspended, and this rule is hereby
suspended, and the ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its adoption.
