AN ORDINANCE SETTING DATES, TIMES AND PLACE FOR
PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION BY
THE CITY OF CIBOLO OF 20.384 ACRES OF LAND SITUATED
IN THE SEXTO DOMINGUEZ SURVEY NO. 152,ABSTRACT NO.
110, GUADALUPE COUNTY,AND LOCATED APPROXIMATELY
600 FEET TO THE NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF F.M.
1103 AND WELL ROAD; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
PUBLICATION OF THE NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
WHEREAS,the City of Cibolo received a petition requesting annexation from the owner
of land which is vacant and without residents or on which fewer than three qualified
voters reside; and
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code 43.028 authorizes the City of Cibolo to
annex sparsely occupied areas on petition of the area's landowners; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law, the above-described petition was filed with
the City of Cibolo on February 7,2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cibolo, believing that the above-described
petition was properly filed pursuant to Texas Local Government Code 43.028, believes
that it is in the best interests of the City of Cibolo to grant said petition.
NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CIBOLO, TEXAS.
SECTION 1: On Tuesday, the 11th day of April, 2006 and Monday, the 17th day of
April, 2006, at 7 o'clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City of Cibolo, the
City Council of the City of Cibolo will hold Public Hearings giving all interested persons
the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Cibolo, of the
following described property,to-wit:
A 20.384 acre (887.971 sq. ft.) tract of land situated in the Sexto
Dominguez Survey No. 152, Abstract No. 110, Guadalupe County,
Texas, comprised of a called 15.385 acre tract of land as recorded in
Volume 570, Page 527, Deed Records of Guadalupe County, Texas, and
a 5.000 acre tract of land out of a 21.188 acre tract of land as recorded in
Volume 414, Page 523, Deed Records of Guadalupe County, Texas and
presently owned by LLB Cibolo Vista Partner, L. P. with James R.
Hardy as President and Agent.
SECTION 2: The City Manager of the City of Cibolo is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notice of such Public Hearings to be published once in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City of Cibolo not more than twenty(20) days, nor less than ten
(10) days, prior to the date of such Public Hearings, in accordance with Texas Local
Government Code 43.063(c), as amended.
