ORD 1068 09/10/2013 ° f C/" Qa,un�w,uua,,,,N O . 1 �'arynmdununu!na Te X PS "City of Choice" ORDINANCE NO. 1 0 6 8 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO, GUADALUPE COUNTY, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013-14, BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2013, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 AND REVISING THE BUDGET FOR THE PRECEDING FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,2013. WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Charter, it is necessary to adopt a budget for the Fiscal Year 2013-14; and WHEREAS, a Proposed Budget for the period commencing October 1, 2013 and ending September 30, 2014 has been prepared by the City Manager in accordance with Article VII of the City Charter, and the City Council has considered the City Manager's Proposed Budget; and WHERAS, the Proposed Budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $641,000 (10.7%) and of that amount $308,595 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. WHEREAS, a public hearing on the Proposed Budget was held on August 27, 2013 after due and proper notice of said hearing having been given in accordance with the City Charter, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CIBOLO,TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Proposed Budget herein presented and attached to this Ordinance for all funds for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2013 and ending September 20, 2014,is hereby approved and adopted. SECTION 2. The"Revised"budget herein presented and attached to this Ordinance for all funds for the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2013 is hereby revised. SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to contract for expenditures without further approval of the City Council for all budgeted items not exceeding the limits set by the City Council. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and shall be in full force at 12:00 a.m. on October 1,2013. PASSED AND APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 10TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2013.
