Min CC 04/22/1971 CITY OF CIBOLO- CITY COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 22, 1971 Present: Absent: Mayor F. S- Schlather Alderman Dylla Alderman Dykes Alderman Lieck Alderman Niemietz Alderman Ling Mayor F. S. Schlather, Alderman Lieck, and Alderman Dykes were sworn 'in by City Secretary Ed Ling. The minutes- were read and approved as read. The financial report was read and accepted. It was agreed the election workers would be paid 751/hr. Planning and Zoning bras discussed. A special :meeting will be scheduled to meet with potential planners. Our own tax- ing authority was also discussed. Mayor Schlather and Mr. Niemietz will canvas the area for street signs required. Mayor Schlather will check with Mr. Bruns concerning a1TCID members being on Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Lieck will write the State Board of Insurance concerning our Fire Insurance R--.ting and a complete analysis' of the rating system and report to the council next month. Mr. Niemietz made a motion that the City of Cibolo become a participating member of the Alamo Area Council .of Governments and that the By-Laws and Articles of Agreement of the Alamo Area Council of Governments be adopted by the City of Cibolo. Mr. Lieck seconded themotion. With all votes in the affirma- tive, the- motion carried. Page Two The Chapman Mobil Station applied for a permit for a -used automobile lot west of their station. A permit was granted to Mr. Chapman to sell used automobiles on the premises, of the Mobil Station. Thr. Niemietz will get Mr. Freddy Weidner' s boys to clean the railroad right of way again this year. Iqr. Wassle' s request for a permit for a modular home factory - adjacent to and south of- Ed Higginson' s property was approved subject to the following. conditions: 1. Yard is to be kept neat :enc' clean. 2. No scrap piles will be allowed. 3. Any merchandise or items for sale will be in a finished condition. . Mr. Walker reported from the Parks and Recreation Dept. that a soft ball tournament is planned for April 25 A. '1971. Present balance for the Parks and Recreation Dept:- is 91016.91. A Ladies Auxiallary to the Parks and Recreation Dept. is being organized to raise funds for a city park. The meeting was adjourned at 9: 30 P.M. F. S. Schlather Mayor Edward Ling City Secretary
