Min CC 06/04/1971 - Special CITY OF CIBOLO
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING:
JUNE 4, 1971
The City Council of Cibolo met at 6:00 p.m. , Friday,
June 4, 1971, in a special called meeting with all
members present.
Mayor Schlather explained that in order to issue
time warrants (similar to bonds) to purchase the
land for a city park, a concensus of the voters is
required. Two methods are available . A general
election may be held. This requires 30 days notice .
The second _method is to post formal notice of intent
to issue time warrants at least 14 days prior to
meeting to take formal action on the ordinance re-
Quired to issue time warrants. If 10% of the quali-
fied voters petition the Council not to issue the
time warrants , the issue would have to be dropped or
a general election held.
These alternatives were discussed at length and the
Council unanimously agreed to post formal notice of
intent to issue time warrants and to have a special
meeting in 14 days , (June 18, 1971) to pass the re-
quired ordinance if there are no objections voiced.
Nr. Lieck made a motion to accept the proposal of
Marmon and Mok to prepare a comprehensive master
plan for Cibolo for an approximate cost of 03200.00.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Dylla and passed
unanimously.
Meeting adjourned a 6: 45 P.M.
