Min CC 02/15/1973 CITY OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 15, 1973 Mayor Schlather opened tle meeting by acknowledging the presence of the Board of Directors of the West Guadalupe County Municipal Utility District and Mr. Kolodgie, Surveyor from New Braunfels . The regular meeting was officially called to order at 7:10 P.M. with all members present . The minutes were read and approved as read. The financial report was read and accepted. Mayor Schlather gave a presentation on the need for coordination between the City Council and the West Guadalupe County Municipal Utility District. Areas requiring immediate coordination and cooperation are the-need for sewer service as soon as possible, expansion :of the water distribution system to serve expanding areas of the City such as the new Middle School and the new Industrial Park. Other problem areas are the need to obtain approval of a sewer grant and the need to adopt the same boundaries as the City. It was pointed out that if the City were to annex the small piece of land adjacent to Dietz Creek and south of Fm 78, the City would then encompass all areas included in WGCMUD and WGCMUD would automatically become a function of the City, with the City assuming all assets and liabilities of WGCMUD. Mayor Schlather asked the Board what action they had taken concerning providing water to the City Park. They stated that their engineer was working on alternate proposals to provide water service. The next meeting of WGCMUD will be on March 5th5 1973, at 7:00 P.M. All City Council members were urged to be present to achieve greater coordination between our bodies . Mayor Schlather is still trying to work out a joint police assistance program with Schertz . Mr. Kolodgie gave a presentation concerning the need for accurate City ihaps . He pointed out that these would be needed for use by WGCMUD, Police, Zoning and Subdivision changes . The City also needs the maps to assign systematic block numbers in the existing City and provide numbering of new City blocks . The maps would also be used to provide City elevation datum points and to indicate topography for the installation and main- tenance of sewers. The actual work required to prepare these maps will be determined after our Master Plan is completed, since it will contain a new City Map. Action will be deferred until that time. A motion was made by Alderman Niemietz and seconded by Alderman Dylla and passed(Alderman Ling abstained from voting) to pay for the maintenance on Pfiel Road, the cost to approximate $275.00. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M. F. S. Schlather Mayor Edward Ling CiV Secretary I
