CITY OF CIBOLO
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MAY 3, 1973
( The City Council met at 6:30 P. M. on May 3rd and canvassed the
City for compliance with our Weed and Trash Ordinance and Junk
Ordinance.)
The regular City Council meeting was called to order on Thursday
May 3rd at 7:20 P.M. by Mayor Schlather with all members present .
The minutes were read and approved as read.
The Council set May 19th as clean-up day in Cibolo . They agreed
to furnish free trash and garbage pick-up for all residents on that
day-

ay.The fire rating for Cibolo was discussed at some length. No economical
methods of improving our fire rating were readily apparent . It was
agreed this subject might warrant further study at a later time.
Police protection was discussed. A motion was made by Edward Ling-
Clemens Dylla and passed unanimously to compensate Constable Hugo
Ackermann, (Pre. #3) , $75.00 per month to provide additional protection
for Cibolo as required.
A motion was made by Edward Ling- Alwin Lieck and passed unanimously
to pass Resolution No . 1013 authorizing the West Guadalupe County
Municipal Utility District to purchase water from the City of Schertz
at the Borgf eld Road neat the middle school and sell said water to
the school and other customers in the city limits of Cibolo .
The Council agreed to permit Sgt . Bowers to move a mobile home onto
a commercial lot on Fm 78 behind the Cibolo Drive Inn.
Mayor Schlather read a letter from Mr. Henneke requesting a building
permit for a tent type skating rink. The Council agreed that it would
probably not meet our building code and consequently could not be approved.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M-
