Min CC 05/02/1974 CITY OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 2, 1974 The Council met together at 6:30 P. M. to present a certificate of appreciation to Mrs. Lieck in honor of her husband 's dedicated ser- vice to the City. The regular City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Schlather on May 2, 1974, with all members present. Mayor Schlather appointed Mrso Lieck to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Alwin Lieck. The Council approved this appointment. Mrs. Lieck then took the oath of office. The invocation was given by Alderman Edward Ling. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and approved as read. Mr. Grant Pfeil attendedthe meeting and was briefed by the Council on various aspects of his job as building inspector. The upcoming annexation by the City of San Antonio of the land south of Randolph Air Force Base was discussed at some length. Mayor Schlather reported that a number of citizens had contacted him expressing an interest in becoming a part of the City of Cibolo. Therefore, Mayor Schlather requested that all councilmen attend a community meeting called by the land owners who will come within the ETJ of San Antonio upon, completion of the above mentioned annexation. This meeting was scheduled for 8:00 P. M., May 9, in the Cibolo Community Hall . Mayor Schlather expressed his opinion that no action should be taken on a dog control ordinance until police personnel are available to inforce the ordinance. Consequently the Council took no action.
