SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 25, 1974
A special meeting was called to order by Mayor Schlather at 7:00 P. M. with all
members present.
Mayor Schlather read a petition from Mr. Dean to have annexed by the City, a tract
of land of 44.9 acres north of Cibolo. A motion was made by Fred Niemietz,(Edward
Ling) and passed unanimously to pass Ordinance # 68 setting May 16th as a date for
a public hearing concerning this proposed annexation.
Mayor Schlather outlined to the council his views concerning the need for a youth
counc.elor to assist local youth in obtaining employment this summer. No action
was taken concerning this problem.
Mr. Bennie Bock, City Attorney, attended the meeting and briefed the Council on
proper annexation proceedures and requirements .
Mayor Schlather reported that several local land owners had contacted him with an
expressed interest of being annexed by the City of Cibolo . Consequently, the
Council agreed to hold a special meeting at 7:00 P. M. on May 9, to meet with
these land omers .
Mr. Hugo Ackermann also attended the meeting and discussed the offer of employment.
He stated that he would attend the May 2, meeting and give his decision on the offer.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:25 P. M.

I
