CITY OF CIBOLO
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 11S 1974
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor F. S. Schlather
with all members present.
The invocation was given by Alderman Edward Ling.
The mintutbsrwere read and approved as read.
The financial report was delayed until the next meeting.
Mayor Schlather introduced the following resolution:
A Resolution by the City Council of the City of .Cibolo, Texas, canvassing
returns and declaring the result of a bond election held in the said city
on the 10th day of August, 1974.
The Resolution was read in full. Thereupon, Alderman-Fred Niemietz moved. its
adoption, and the motion was seconded by Alderman Edward Ling. The motion carrying
with it the adoption of the resolution prevailed by the following vote:
YEAS: Alderman Ling, Dykes, Smith, Niemietz, and Lieck.
NAYS: None
Mayor Schlather announced that the resolution had been passed and adapted.
Mr. Dick Strain and another gentleman with the Buffalo Valley Youth Association
briefed the Council on the formation of the Association after breaking this area
away from the Tri-City League. The baking of Cibblo was solicited, as well as
donations and participation. Fred Niemietz agreed to try to attend their next
meeting to represent Cibolo .
Mr. Hugo Ackermann was present and reported on recent problems with the water
system. He stated that he .f elt the work exceeded his compensation. The Council
agreed that they would consider him claim if, after a couple of months, the
same condition existed andtaas documented by daily time records . It was felt
that the increased workload was temporary in nature. Mr. Ackermann also offered
to lend a trailer to the city whenever needed.
Mayor Schlather agreed to contact Mr. Wiederstein and Mr. Rawe immediately and
obtain all files, records, and equipment of the WGCMUD.
Mayor Schlather also agreed to have all civic clubs contacted concerning
FUN DAYS and to have raffle donations arrangements made before the next meeting.
It was noted that the Board of Equalization was to hold a public meeting on
August 28," 1974 at 4:00 P.M. in the City Hall.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
