Min CC 03/04/1975 T CITY OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 4� 1975 Our regular City Council meeting was moved to Tuesday, March 4, from Thursday, March 6, due to the Kuntry Karnival. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Schlather with all members present. The invocation was given by Alderman Edward Ling. The minutes of the February 20 meeting and the special meeting of February 21 , were approved as presented. Alderman Marge Smith declined to accept the $120.00 refund for her house plans . Some discussion ensued on the Federal 208 Fund grant for a pollution study. Mayor Schlather reported to the Council the approximate content of a proposed ETJ agreement received-from the City of Schertz . The Council agreed that the proposal was fair and equitable. The Council expressed enthusiasm for a continuation of our efforts to lease the Southern Pacific Right of Way for the purpose of beautification. Mayor Schlather reported that he had met with Larry Catlin concerning the Four Leaf Park Subdivision. Linda was directed to write a letter to the City of Schertz concerning future availability of water for our projected growth. Mayor Schlather informed the Council that the Board of Directors of the Schneider Industrial Park was on the agenda at the Commissioner' s Court in Seguin at 10:00 A.M. to attempt to obtain county and or state aid in upgrading Krahn Lane to a major thoroughfare if possible. After some discussion a motion was made by Fred Niemietz (Genevieve Dykes) and passed unanimously to change the name of Farm to Market Road 78 to Old Seguin Road. Mayor Schlather appointed Edward Ling, Fred Niemietz, Marge Smith and Linda Ling as a budget committee to prepare a draft budget for the City for the nine (9) month fiscal year beginning January 1 , 1975, and for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1 , 1975• The Council agreed that all should assist Linda in obtaining copies of early pictures of Cibolo for display. A committee is now being formed to assist the city in this endeavor. T The Council agreed that an effort would be made to print a quarterly newsletter concerning happenings of interest to Ciboloians . Mayor Schlather reported that he was continuing his efforts to locate a water well site for Cibolo . There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M. 19/t�41d",I� F. S.
