Min CC 05/01/1975 J� CITY OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 1 , 1975 The regular City Council meeting '-was called to order at 7:00 P.M. , on May 1 , 1975, by Mayor Schlather with all members present . The invocation was given by Edward Ling. The minutes of the April 17 meeting were approved as presented. The progress of the sewer system installation was discussed and minor problems resolved. It was decided to continue with the City Park concession building septic tank due to the distance from the sewer. The mayor reported that he had applied for a flood plan for Town Creek. A possible raise and reporting duties for Mr. Ackermann were discussed. Linda was requested to arrange a meeting with the County Health Officer to discuss problems arising from livestock within the city and also loose, unvacinated dogs . The proposed livestock ordinance was tabled pending the results of the meeting with the County Health Officer. Mayor Schlather reported that he had received a sealed bid from Tshirhart on the sewer hookups but he was waiting to receive a promised bid from Vernon Sowell. The Council agreed to the hiring of Fred Wiedner as a backup for Mr. Tomy Meek but a salary was not set. Fred Niemietz reported that he needed additional supplies such as garden hoses, shovels, etc . for the City Park maintenance. He was authorized to purchase them. A motion was made by Marvin Kierum (Stephen Dykes) and passed unanimously to approve the standby repair agreement on our water system with the City of Schertz and to pay the April 2, 1975 bill for $386.25• Page 2- May 1 , 1975, Minutes . Mayor Schlather was to call Tom Anderlitch to verify that the charges on the CCMA bill for sewer construction were correct. Ed Ling pointed out that since the system was not complete, it did not appear appropriate to pay the total amount at this time. Consequently payment of the bill was tabled until the next meeting. The Council agreed we should proceed with negotiations with Green Valley concerning paying a transport fee for use of their water line. Mayor Schlather was to set up a meeting with our Engineer and the Green Valley Commissioners . In addition a motion was made by Edward Ling (Fred Niemietz) and passed unanimously to authorize the-Mayor to sign an option contract on %(one half) or 1 (one) acre as reccommended by our Engineer for a water well site. The rerouting of F.M. 1103 to the west of Cibolo was discussed. Linda presented to the Council two optional contracts offered by Pitney Bowes for the City. At the advice of Tom Anderlitch, the Council agreed to have Mayor Schlather formally request of'Mr. Odo Riedel, President of CCMA, 'treatment of our sewage as soon as possible. Mayor Schlather was to check with Mi�::iMullins concerning the Federal Grant Assistance on proposed sewer lines extensions to Stephen Dykes and the Hendersons . After some discussion of the proposed budget .presented by the budget committee, a motion was made by Stephen Dykes (Marvin Kierum) and passed unanimously to adopt the proposed budget. A motion was made by Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) and passed unanimously to pass Ordinance # 219 setting the Tax Rate for the City of Cibolo at $0.551$100.00 based on 85% of fair market value.
