Min CC 02/05/1976 CITY OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 5, 1976 The regular City Council meeting was called to order on February 5, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. with all members present -except Stephen Dykes . The minutes were approved as presented. The invocation was given by Edward Ling. Marge Smith reported on the CCMA grand opening which she attended. Bill Mullins had not reported to the Council his recommendations concerning the painting of the water tower. Consequently, no action could be taken. Linda was to contact Mr. Mullins again. Wayne Zwicke -reported to the Council of the work done on the dog ordinance. Since only one copy was available, no action could be taken. C6pies are to be made and distributed prior to the next meeting. The proposed contracting with SAFES for ambulance service was discussed again. A motion was made by Edward Ling (Marvin Kierum) and passed to enter into a contract with the City of Schertz for emergency ambulance service, with Schertz billing, t he recipients of service at the rate of $35.00/call, with Cibolo agreeing to pay all charges for pickups within our city limits not collected within 90 days . The City of, Cibolo would then have the right to attempt to collect all outstanding bills . Mr. Zwicke reported on a .Civil Defense seminar in Austin in February. How- ever, all agreed that attendance at this time was not justified. The budget was reviewed in detail. At the conclusion of the review, it was agreed that no changes were justified now, but to review it again next month, particularly to operating expense of the police car. CCMA did not attend the meeting as previously scheduled. Mayor Schlather brought a request for rezoning the Church of God property to allow construction of a body shop on the west half and living quarters within the exist- ing church building. It was determined that written request for rezoning was required in accordance with the zoning ordinance. Linda was directed to take the necessary action as soon as possible. A motion was made by Edward Ding (Fred Niemietz) and passed unanimously to pass Ordinance # 224 setting a date, time and place for a public hearing on the proposed rezoning of the West 3�g acre of land belonging to the Cibolo Church of God. The public hearing was set for March 45 1976 at 6:00 P.M. -at the City Hall at 109 South Main in Cibolo, Texas . This meeting will give all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed rezoning from multi family to commercial by the City of Cibolo . Linda presented the request of Aqua Sonic Lures for a business permit . A motion was made by Fred Niemietz (Marge Smith) and passed unanimously to grant the business permit, contingent on inspection and approval by our building inspector. Linda reported on the new election law. A motion was made by Marvin Kierum (EDward Ling) and passed unanimously to designate 106 South Main St .(Old City Hall Building) as the official polling place for our upcoming city election.
