REGULAR MEETING: SEPTEMBER 1, 1977
`! . CALL TO ORDER: John A. Sippel, Mayor.
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Linda N. Ling, City Secretary.
All Council members present.
INVOCATION: Edward Ling
4 MINUTES: A motion was made by Fred Ni.emietz(Ed Ling) and passed
unanimously to approve the last regular City Council
minutes as presentd.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD:
A. Mr-Russ Shaver presented a request for a resolution and letter of intent to
support the flood control and park improvements along Cibolo as supported
by CCMA. Motion was made by Marge Smith(Sigfrid Swenson) and passed
unanimously to table the decision until the next regular Council meeting.
B. Mr. David Dennis reported on existing land use map as it concerns the
City of Cibolo . The map shows two grids each of commercial, residential,
and industrial usage. Each grid being representative of 92 acres .
Mr. Dennis requested authority to correct the map to one-..grid of.-commercial,
three grids of residential and two grids of industrial. Authority was
granted.
6._ OLD BUSINESS:
A. F.M. 78 - Ed Ling(Fred Niemietz) moved for a Resolution to Petition to
redesignate F.M. 78 to U.S. 90A and to ask communities located along
F.M. 78 to join the City of Cibolo in this resolution. All approved.
B. Town Creek West Sub-Division - Ed Ling.(Sigfrid Swenson) moved to accept
the Town Creek West Sub-Division provided the owner's supply the City
with as-built drawings showing location of water and sewer connections
and distance stubbed out.
C. A motion was made by Fred Niemietz(Marge Smith) and passed unanimously to,
pass Ordinance No . 212 annexing 26.65 acre tract of land belonging to
Cibolo-Schertz Development Corp., Inc.
D. A motion was made by Marge Smith(Sigfred Swenson) and passed unanimously
Ordinance No . 243 to accept the budget as presented and a meeting is
scheduled for September 8 at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose:-of establishing
the new water and sewer rates.
E. A motion was made by Sigfrid Swenson(Ed Ling) and passed unanimously
to accept Ordinance No .24 'prescribing the tax rate at .55 per -$100.00
valuation for the Year 1977.
F. A motion was made by Ed Ling(Wm. Wiederstein) to accept the agreement
between The City-of Cibolo and The Cibolo Volunteer Fire Department.
All approved.
G. The purchase of a CB radio was discussed. Action on this purchase was
tabled.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. A motion was made by Ed Ling(Fred Niemietz) and passed unanimously to give
the firm of Robert F. Koennecke, Auditors, a letter of engagement for the
year ending September 30, 1977 and request a cost estimate.
B. A motion was =made by Fred Niemietz(Sigfrid Swenson) and passed unanimously
approving Ordinance No . 245 Making it an Offense- to Fail to Appear in
Answer to a Summons .
C. All bills to be paid were approved as read by motion of Ed Ling (Marge Smith) .
All Council members approved.
