CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL
CIBOLO, TEXAS
REGULAR MEETING: AUGUST 4, 1977
4- 1 . CALL TO ORDER: John A. Sippel, Mayor.
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Linda N. Ling, City Secretary.
Total City Council Present.
3. INVOCATION: Edward Ling.
4. MINUTES: A motion was made by W. Wiederstein (F. Niemietz) and passed
on to approved the minutes as presented.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD:
a. David Dennis, reported on the .land Use Maps and Population Maps.
b. Linda Ling, turned in her resignation as City Secretary to the City Council.
The Council took no action until they could meet in closed session.
c . Sandra Schlather, was at the meeting concerning public mobile transportation
for the surrounding communities. The AACOG will be funding this project.
A public hearing is being set up for the later part of August.
d. Dr. Howard R. Ballanoff, from SWPSU discussed a possible contract with
SWSU concerning our 701 Planning Grant for an updated Master Plan.
After much discussion a motion was made by Sig Swenson (Ed Ling ) and
passed unanimously to accept STn1TSU as the contractor for this project.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
a. After much discussion a motion was made by Marge Smith (Ed. Ling) and
passed unanimously to pass ordinance # 1#/ setting August 22, 1977
at 6:00 P.M. at the City Hall for a Public Hearing concerning the proposed
annexation of the approximatly 20 acres of the Schertz-Cibolo Developement
Corporation (Industrial Park) .
b. TML, The majority of the Council plans to attend the Texas Municipal League
Region Meeting on the 12th of August in Seguin.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
a. A motion was made by Fred Niemietz (Ed. Ling) and passed unanimously to
proceed with intentions to install the water lines from the City limits to
Town Creek West Subdivision.
b. Fun Day and Dedication of new facilities at the City Park was set for
September 25.
c. The Fire Dept. invited the City Council to their next meeting on August 10.
d. Bills to be approved, All were approved. Hold Green Valley Water Corporation
until contract is signed.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business the'council adjourned to reconviene in closed
session to discuss personnel problems.
