CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING, THURSDAY, APRIL 7, 1977, 7:00 P.M.
1 . CALL TO ORDER: Mayor F. S. Schlather..
2 . ROLL CALL: Linda'N. Ling, Absent:
Stephen F. Dykes .
3. INVOCATION: Edward Ling. .
4. The City Council canvessed the votes in the City Election. They are as follows:
Mayor John A. Sippel 57 votes
Write Ins 2 votes
Sig Swenson Place 2 Alderman 53 votes
Write In 1 vote
William Wiederstein Place 3
Alderman 58 votes
The City Council approved and accepted the votes as stated.

5. SWEARING IN OF NEW COUNCIL-:
The new councilmembers were then sworn in by City Secretary Linda Ling.
6. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as corrected. (Gutierrez
Disposal Inc. monthly charge was changed from $3.25 to 3.35-
7. EMPLOYEES TO BE HEARD:
a. Chief Marin commented on a new organization known as the Combined Law
Enforcement Organization. There is to be a meeting consisting of policemen,
mayors and councilmen of the surrounding cities in the near future.
8. OLD BUSINESS:
a. A motion was made by Alderman Sig Swenson, seconded by William Wiederstein,
and passed unanimously to publish a news item in the local newspaper con-
cerning the -.og problem in Cibolo and that Chief Marin is now giving citations
to citizens who do not-have current registrations of their dogs.
9 . NEW BUSINESS:
a . The attached bills were approved as listed.
b. The Park and Recreation Ordinance was tabled until the next City Council meeting-.-
c . The City Council advised Linda to send a letter to GVEC setting May 5, as a
meeting date to discuss the proposed rate increase.
d. The Council agreed to send Linda to the seminar on Funding and Evaluating
Federal Grant Programs at the Institute of Texas Cultures on April 28, 1977.
e. April X was set for a meeting of all property owners on the FM 78 ByPass
in Cibolo .
f . Positions of Councilmen are listed below:
Ed Ling-Utility Commissioner, Marge Smith-Planning and Zoning, Fred Niemietz-
Park and Police, William Wiederstein-Grants and Subdivision and Annexation
Sig Swenson-Streets .
10. ADJOURNMENT:
a. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 11 :55 -F.M.
