CITY COUNCIL MEETING
REGULAR MEETING, THURSDAY EVENING, JANUARY 6, 1977, 8:00 O' CLOCK P.M.

3. INVOCATION:
The invocation was given by Edward Ling.
J4 4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS COUNCIL MEETING:
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented.
5. OLD BUSINESS:
a. The Green Valley Water Contract was tabled until more information
is received from our financial advisor, Mr. Tom Anderlitch.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a . Mr. David Dennis of CCMA was present at the City Council
meeting to discuss the 208 Planning.
b . A letter was sent to Mr. J. Jarvis concerning the donation
from the Randolph Elks Lodge in Cibolo of the Chief of Police
badge.
C . A survey from the State Dept. of Highways and Public Trans-
portation was discussed. The Dept. recommended an increase
in the speed limit on FM 78 from 35mph to 40mph. After con-
s--isideringpthis=proposal, the council decided that an increase
would not be acceptable. This decision was based on narrowness
of road, "fudging" in ,speed and children at school crossing and
aged persons . A letter to Mr. Stotzer explain;l;ig this action was to
be sent.
J .
d. Linda N. Ling was sworn in by Mayor F. S. Schlather as City of
Cibolo Tax Assessor-Collector for a period of two years.
e. The Council approved the attached bills.
f. The Council discussed the Police Car at length. Chief Marin was
to check on prices concerning the engine and report back to the
Council within two weeks .
