Min CC 02/08/1979 CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, FEBRUARY 8, 1979 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor John A. Sippel 2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Councilmembers Smith, Wiederstein, Niemietz, Swenson and Robison. - Chief of Police Jeronimo Marin, Jr.; Barbara Glenewinkel 3. INVOCATION: Bill Wiederstein 4. MINUTES: Bill Wiederstein (Albert Robison) moved the minutes of the last meeting be approved with the clarification of New Bus- iness Section A to read - the repair estimate made by Mr. Tolle is for gravel and graveling of streets and does not include asphalt work on the paved streets. All approved. 5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: No citizens appeared before the council to be heard. 6. OLD BUSINESS: A. 1) Mayor Sippel read a letter to the Council concerning the reimbux°sement of C.0.M.A. overcharge. Sig Swenson (Bill Wiederstein) moved the mutual agreement to accept $2,478.90 credit on C.0.M.A. overcharge be rescended. All approved. 2) Fred Niemietz (Bill Wiederstein) moved the new figures of $2,923.84 ($243.65 credit per month for a 12 month period) be accepted and permit the Mayor and City Secretary to sign new agreement. All approved. 7. NEW BUSINESS: A. Pierre Muller discussed with the .Council the possibility of rezoning property owned by Norman Driscoll on the corner of Pfeil Road and Elm Street from residential to Commercial. Mr. Driscoll would like to build a warehouse on the property. The matter will be turned over to the zoning committee. Mr. Muller of James Contractors will furnish the committee with plans. B. Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved the council appoint Fred Wiedner as election judge; Modesta Flores as inter- preter; Mrs. George Sassman, Mrs. Tomy Meek, and Mrs. Arthur Brietzke as workers for the up-coming City Elections on April 7. All approved. C. The sewer connection for Age Box Co . was discussed. The water well the box company is using will have to be metered; this meter will also be used later when city water lines are laid. No further action was taken. D. Albert Robison (Fred Niemietz) moved the addendum to the sewer contra-bt between C.C.M.A. and the City of Cibolo providing for sewer service to the Schneider Industrial Park be accepted. All approved. E. Water and sewer lines to property of Mrs. Gloria Heubaum Sho of on the corner of N. Main and F.M. 1103 was discussed. No action was taken at this time. F. Sig Swenson reported on the profit of the Flea Market last year. Mr. Swenson reported a profit of $413.00 plus $98.00 on tables . April was suggested as a possible starting month for the Flea Market this year. G. The Cibolo-Schertz Joint City Council meeting was dis- cussed. The meeting will be held Wednesday, February 14, 1979 at 7:00 P.M. at the Schertz Municipal Building. One of the items on the agenda will be Schertz water lines in Cibolo E.T.J. and water service to residents of Cibolo in the E.T.J . t FEBRUARY 8, 1979 COUNCIL MINUTES CONTINUED -` H. The Cibolo Bowling Club has asked to borrow the city's parachutes for use at their annual barbecue. The Council had no objection. 8. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Fred Niemietz (Marge Smith) moved the bills be approved. All approved. 9. ADJOURNMENT: Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) moved the council adjourn at 9:15 P.M. All approved.
