Min CC 02/15/1979 CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 15, 1979
1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor John A. Sippel, 7:15 P.M.
2. QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Councilmembers Robison, Swenson, Wiederstein, Smith,
_ and Niemietz.

3. INVOCATION: Albert Robison
4. MINUTES: Sig Swenson, (Marge Smith) moved the minutes of the previous--,meet-
ing be approved. All approved.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None
6. OLD BUSINESS: A. Councilman Swenson stated the flea market will open the 3rd
weekend in March instead of April as early thought.
B. The Council decided Mrs. Shoaf will have to pay for the
extension of water and sewer lines to her property.
7. NEW BUSINESS: A. The blade work at the City Park was discussed. The work
was done by H.L. Easton at a cost of $270. for 22 2 hours.
B. Fred Niemietz presented the Council with a cost analysis of
work done on the Fire Department Garage Kitchen ,a-bb-the
Park and asked it be entered into the minutes. The work
totaled $3,179.9 ..
Bill Wiederstein (Albert Robison) moved a letter of
appreciation be sent to the Fire Dept. All approved.
C. Fred Niemietz (Sig Swenson) moved the council hire Marvin
Baker as general maintenance employee for the City. All approved.
Mr. Rudolf Hracha and Mr. Harry Mullen are to be contacted about
the Senior Texans Employment Program (S.T.E.P.)
D. Meet - The - Candidate night, sponsored by the Greater Randolph
Area Chamber of Commerce was discussed. The council decided
against having one.
E. The ordinance restricting massage parlors was tabled.
F. The Bike A-Thon for the benefit of St. Jude's Cancer Research
Hospital was discussed. The Council decided to support the
Schertz Bike A-Thon rather than sponsoring one in Cibolo .
G. The Schertz-Cibolo joint council meeting Feb. 14 was discussed.
Joining Schertz in a loan grant for Dietz Creek drainage project
was discussed. No one had any objection.
H. Delinquent water bills were discussed. It was decided to send
restricted registered letters to delinquent customers.
8. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved the bills be approved.
All approved.
9. ADJOURNMENT= Albert Robison (Bill Wiederstein) moved the meeting be adjourned.
