1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor John A. Sippel, 7:05 P.M.
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Councilmembers Robison, Wiederstein, Smith, Niemietz. "
Swenson was late due to classes.
3. INVOCATION: Bill Wiederstein
4. MINUTES: Marge Smith (Albert J. Robison) moved the minutes be approved.
All approved.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD:
Mr. & Mrs . Bernardino Campa, Mrs . Santos Alvarado attended the
meeting to request help for their flooded property. Mr. Campa
believes Timber Tech, Inc . is responsible for their home and
yard standing full of water. He feels that since, they are
paying city taxes they should have help.
Mayor Sippel explained the roads bordering the Campa property
are county roads and need better drainage. Mayor Sippel informed
Mr. Campa that the City will contact County Commissioner Malford
Ackermann stating the problem and that if letters do no good, they
can take their complaint to the County Commissioners' Court.
Councilman Robison stated he. would take the matter up at the next
board meeting of the Community Council of South Texas, Guadalupe
County Council.
6. OLD BUSINESS: A. Fred reported the automatic timer had been installed on the
ball park light poles .
B. Police Chief Marin reported he had clocked the trains going
through Cibolo and only found one out of the six he clocked going
over 55 M.P.H.
C. H.U.D. Implementing Agency - The Council decided to inform
Mr. Williams the City did not have anyone to be the Agency and
the City Secretary did not have the extra time it would take.
7 . NEW BUSINESS: A. Zoning Board Recommendations
1. Marge Smith (Bill Wiederstein) moved the Council accept the
Zoning Board recommendation and set a public hearing date con-
cerning the Norman Drisco property.
All approved.
2. . Fred Niemietz (Bill Wiederstein) moved the Council deny the
request for rezoning by William Little.
Fred Niemietz,Bill Wiederstein voted in favor of the denial.
Marge Smith, Albert J. Robison voted against the denial.
Mayor Sippel voted to break the tie in favor of the denial.
3. Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) moved a public hearing be held
Monday, May 21, 1979 at 7:00 P.M. concerning the Drisco Property
and 7:30 P.M. concerning the Little property.
All Approved,
B. Fred Niemietz (Albert J. Robison) moved the City Council meeting
be moved from May 17, 1979 to May 24, 1979 in order that the
Council may make a decision concerning the rezoning.
All approved.
C. A Mobile Home request was made by Mrs. Marilyn McKinney to move
her parent's mobile home onto the back portion of her property.
Fred Niemietz (Albert J. Robison) moved the request be denied.
All approved.
7. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Fred Niemietz (Albert J. Robison) moved the bills be approved
for payment . All approved.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Fred Niemietz (Albert J. Robison) moved the meeting ba adjourned
• at 9:10 P.M. All approved.
