1. CALL TO ORDER: John A. Sippel, Mayor
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Magor Sippel, Councilmembers: Smith, Wiederstein, Swenson & Robison.
Chief of Police Jeronimo Marin, Jr.; Barbara Glenewinkel, Secretary.
3 . INVOCATION: Albert Robison
L.G. MINUTES: - Bill Wiederstein (Albert Robison) moved the minutes be approved as
read. All approved.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD:
A . Mr. Larry Schendel came before the Council with plans and informa-
tion pertaining to Lots 3 & 4 Block 1, Green Valley 'frailer Park.
Mr. Schendel's client, Ismael Carrion would like to purchase the
two lots and move 2 houses onto them.
Mr. Schendel stated his client wants to comply with all regulations
which includes permission from the Cibolo City Council.
Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved a letter be sent stating the City
Council has no objection to the older homes being moved in, provid-
ing they meet the building codes and that considerations be made that
Haeckerville Rd. will possibly have to be widened in the future and
allow for additional footage. All approved.
B. Mrs. Jo Nirider came to the Council meeting. She stated she wanted
to publicly thank Mr. Fred Niemietz for taking care of the rock pro-
blem caused by the blading of the streets.
She also stated she had been told that she was misquoted concerning
the reeoning of the Little property. She had been informed that a
notation was on the bottom of the minutes of the zoning board meeting
stating she had no objection to the rezoning. The minutes in question
were read to her showing she had not been misquoted. Mrs . Nirider wa. ,s
given a copy of the minutes . The three members of the council who voted
for the rezoning gave their reasons for doing so .
6. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Mr. Sippel reported the holes at the lane Star Store driveway had been
filled in with gravel and would be finished.' Also, it was decided to
speak with Gary Weaver about the contractor who laid this sewer line

B . Mr. Sippel reported Andrew Tolle was aware of the leak at New Melody-
Too and would take care of it as soon as possible..
7 . NEW BUSINESS:
A . Speed Ldmit Ordinance: The ordinance establishing 10 MPH on Santa
Clara Street and on Lamar Street was read.
Marge Smith (Albert Robison) moved the ordinance be passed. All approved
B. Resignations:
1. Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved the resignation of F. S. Schlather
from the Planning & Zoning Commission be accepted with regret .
All approved.
2 . Bill Wiederstein (Sig Swenson) moved the resignation of Fred Niemietz
from the City Council be accepted with regret . All approved.
It was decided to hold an executive meeting after the July 5 Council
meeting to discuss replacements for the resigned members .
C. Park Commissioner and Board of Directors
A list of possible members for the Board of Directors and a park commis-
sioner was considered by the Council.
They are:
Fred Niemietz - park commissioner
Freddie Niemietz Albert Woerndel
Oscar Schulz Jerry Bode
David Del Toro Donald Fowler
Kenard Kollaus
®_ Bill Wiederstein (Albert Robison) moved that:
1. Fred Niemietz be appointed as park commissioner and
2 . the council approve the board list submitted, allowing Mr.
Niemietz to determine length of office terms, and
3. the council approve one (1) counter signature from Council
and an alternate signature to counter sign checks with-Mr.
Niffmietz. All Approved.
The two council members to sign with Mr. Niemietz are Marge
Smith and Bill Wiederstein.
D. Sig Swenson (Albert Robison) moved that:
1. a financial operating report be submitted monthly and
2 . when the city books are audited, the park books be audited in
a separate audit .
All approved.
E. The C.C.M.A. adivsory boad was discussed. Those from the Cibolo area asked
to represent the area on the Board are:
1. Albert Robison - elected official
2 . Dr. Tom 'Whitcomb - citizen
3. Mrs . Theo (Margie) Reinhard- interested group (Cibolo Valley Repub-
lican Women's Club)
4. Lewis Bo rgf eld-economic interest (Cibolo Bank,Cibolo-Schert z Dev.. Corp .)
F. Board of Equalization:
Names of possible people to serve on the board of equalization were
discussed. These people will be contacted.
G. Pressure Regulator on Green Valley Water Lines was discussed. It was decided
to discuss the matter with Green Valley Water Corp.
8. BILIS TO BE APPROVED-.
Albert Robison (Sig Swenson) moved the bills be approved for payment. All approved.
9 . ADJOURNMENT:
Albert Robison (Sig Swenson) moved the meeting adjourn at 10:00 p .m.
