Min CC 07/19/1979 CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 192 1979 1. CALL TO ORDER: John A. Sippel, Mayor 2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Councilmembers: Smith, Wiederstein,Robison & Swenson; Barbara Glenewinkel, City Secretary. 3. INVOCATION: Albert Robison 4. MINUTES: Marge Smith (Albert Robison) moved the minutes of the July 5, 1979 meeting be approved. All approved. 5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: Mrs . Naomi Armstrong asked of the Council if any interest had been expressed on the paving of the Santa Clara and Lamar Streets . Mrs . Armstrong stated again that she will be willing to pay her share of the expense of paving if the rest of the people on the street will. Mr. Sippel stated a contractor will come out to check on the street. 6. NEW BUSINESS: A. Auditor: Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved we approve the firm of Robert Koennecke as the auditor for the City. All approved. B. Bill Wiederstein (Albert Robison) moved the Council accept the resolution stating the City would no emplement HB 1060 Article VIII, Sec . I & II for the Tax Year 1979 . All approved. C. Bill Wiederstein (Marge Smith) moved the tax assessment ratio be 100% of market value for the tax year 1979 . All approved. D. Fire Dept . - Mayor Sippel read a letter from the Cibolo Fire Dept. requesting a meeting with the Council to discuss fire codes for the City. The Council decided to ask the Fire Dept. to attend the workshop at 7:00 p.m. August 1st or if that was not acceptable to choose another date. E. The Council decided to have their water & sewer rate study workshop immediately following the meeting with the Fire Dept . on Aug,. 1,1979 . F. Mobile Home: Mrs. Mae Weller's request for a mobile home permit was discussed. The council decided to have Mrs . Weller bring a plat of property and house plans. G. Triple /S Dynamics: Marge Smith (Bill Wiederstein) moved the build- ing permit for Triple /S Dynamics be reduced by one-half to comply with Council action on February 23, 1978 concerning building permits on Commercial building construction in excess of $100,000.00. All approved. H. Sig Swenson (Marge Smith) moved the Council appoint Mrs. Jo Nirider to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Fred Niemietz. All approved. 7. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Marge Smith (Bill Wiederstein) moved the bills be approved for pay- ment. All approved. 8. ADJOURNMENT: Marge Smith (Sig Swenson) moved the meeting adjourn at 11:15.
