Min CC 09/20/1979 CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES, SEPTEMBER 20,1979 1. CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 P.M. Mayor John A. Sippel 2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor John Sippel, Councilmembers: Smith, Nirider, Swenson, t Robison & Wiederstein Gladys Pfeil, Bookkeeper; Jeronimo Marin, Jr. Police Chief; Barbara L. Glenewinkel, City Secretary 3. INVOCATION: Bill Wiederstein 4. MINUTES: Albert Robison (Marge Smith) moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as read. All approved. 5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None 6. NEIN BUSINESS: A. Howard Gaddis and Andrew Tolle representing the Schneider Industrial Park presented the plat to the Council for acceptance. The Council will study the plats and act on the acceptance at a later meeting. B. Ms . Karen Brown, representing the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Doug Bartosh of theSoil Conservation Service attended the Council meeting to discuss the Flood Insurance Study Program. Mr. Bartosh explained the J SCS part in the surveying of the flood prone areas in the Cibolo city limits. Ms. Brown explained how Insurance rates are lowered by participation in the program. Ms. Brown showed maps and flood levels and answered questions pertaining to building applications in flood areas. C. The properties on Schneider Drived were numbered. The existing business are TDS Mini-Storage - 1001 Schneider Dr.; Age Box Company-1111 Schneider Dr.; and Triple/S Dynamics-1021 Schneider Dr. D. Tax Rates were discussed. Mr. Cage recommends an increase of 3%. The Council set a special meeting for 5:00 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 1979 to set tax rate. E. The Council decided to run an ad in the paper for a City employee- general worker, salary negotiable. F. Marge Smith (Bill Wiederstein) moved Ordinance #273 increas- ing Water & Sewer rates be approved and signed. All approved and Mayor Sippel signed the ordinance. G.
