1. CALL TO ORDER: Magor John A. Sippel, 7:00 P.M.
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Council-members Nirider,Swenson,Wiederstein & Thurman;
Police Chief Marin; Secretary B. Glenewinkel.
3 . INVOCATION: Bill Wiederstein
4. MINUTES: Bill Wiederstein (Gerald Thurman) moved the minutes of the previous
council meeting be approved. All approved.
5. NEW BUSINESS: A. "911" Contract Renewal.
The renewal of the "911" Emergency number contract was discussed.
Chief Marin reported on the munber of times Cibolo residents had
used the number. Total calls 13 for the year with only a very few
to be considered emergency.
Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the City not renew the "911"
Contract until it has been in operation longer. All approved.
B. Insurance Policies .
Bruce Barnard of the Tri-City Insurance Agency, Inc . attended the
Council-meeting to discuss the various policies carried by the City.
The policies were rescheduled to all be renewed in January of each
year.
Sig Swenson (Josie Nirider) moved the Council accept the insurance
schedule presented by Mr. Barnard. All approved.
C. City Election
The City Election (April 5) was discussed. Bill Widderstein
(Josie-Nirider) moved the polling place for the city election be
the City Hall 109 S. Main. All approved.
D. Election Judge-Clerk-Interpreter
Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the elction workers
Election Judge Fred Wiedner; Interpreter Modesta Flores; Election
Clerk-Ella Sassman be approved. All approved.
E.. City Employee
It was decided to run an ad in the Valley News for a,maintenance man.
6. BILLS TO BE APPROVED:
Bill Wlede�stein (Josie Nirider) moved the bills be approved for
payment. All approved.
7. ADJOURNMENT: Josie Nirider (Bill Wiederstein) moved the meeting be adjourned
at 9:30 p.m. All approved.

Alderman/Commissioner' Bill Wiederstein introduced a resolution and order
and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Alderman/Commissioner' Josie Nirider
and the motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution and order prevailed by the following vote,

Whereas the laws of the State of Texas provide that on April 51 19 80 , there
shall be elected the following officials for this city:

Whereas the laws of the State of Texas further provide that the Election Code of the State of Texas is
applicable to said election, and in order to comply,with said Code, an order should be passed establishing
the procedure to be followed in said election, and designating the voting place for said election.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL/COMMISSION'

The City Secretary/Clerk' is hereby authorized and instructed to provide and furnish all necessary elec-
tion supplies to conduct said election.
The order in which the names of the candidates are to be printed on the ballot shall be determined by a
drawing by the City Secretary as provided by Article 6.05 c. Subd. 3.
The Mayor shall give notice of this election in accordance with the terms and provisions of Article 4.05
of the Election Code and returns of said notice shall be made as provided in said Article 4.05, and the Mayor
shall issue all necessary orders and writs for said election and returns of said election shall be made to the
Council/Commissioners' immediately after the closing of the polls.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the
Secretary/Clerk' posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board
located in the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having
been so posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of
said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall
be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes.
