Min CC 02/07/1980 CIBOLO CITY OJUNCIL MEETING, FEBRUARY 7, 198C 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor John A. Sippel, 7:00 p.m. 2. QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Sippel, Councilmembers Nirider, Smith, Wiederstein, Swenson, & Thurman. Police Chief Marin, Secretary Glenewinkel, and City Employee Letbetter. 3. INVOCATION: Bill Wiederstein 4. MINUTES: Sig Swenson (Marge Smith) moved the minutes of the previous regular council meeting held on Jan. 17, 1980 be approved. All approved. Bill Wiederstein (Gerald Thurman) moved the minutes of the special meeting held Jan. 29, 1980 be approved. All approved. 5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None 6. OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Sippel reported that the holes in the water tower had been repaired by American Tank and Tower Co . of Joplin, Missouri at a cost of $500.00. The tower will be flushed out and refilled as soon as possible so that the city will have a back up water supply, in case of emergencies. 7. NEW BUSINESS:A. Mr. C.P. Vaughan and his son, Mark Vaughan of Canyon, Texas representing their firm of Vaughan-Crest, Inc . appeared before the council requesting a variance to the city subdivision ordinance #60 regulating the width of the streets and lots as set down in the ordinance. No decision was made, the council deciding to study the matter. Mr. Vaughan and firm are interested in the Four Leaf Park Subd. for the purpose of building $3 .,00 - $39,000 two and three bedroom homes financed by Farm &- Home Administration. B. The council decided to have the city hall sign painted; possibly by Mr. Bob Cook, in the same colors as Donald Cales Realty sign. C. Bill Wiederstein (Josie Nirider) made a motion that the city council hire Mr.Cliff Letbetter as the new city maintenance man. All approved. D. Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the list of tools needed for the city's use- be approved for purchase. All approved. - 8. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Josie Nirider (Marge Smith) moved the bills presented for approval be paid. All approved. 9.
