CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 18 1981
1. CALL TO ORDER: 7:05 P.M. MayorPro Tem Sig Swenson
2. INVOCATION: Jo Nirider, Councilmember
3. QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Pro Tem Swenson, Councilmembers Nirider, Niemietz & Thurman;
Iva Amacker, clerk; Jeronimo Marin,Jr. Police chief and Babara
Glenewinkel, city secretary.
4. MINUTES: Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved the minutes of the June 4, 1981
meeting be approved as read. All approved.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
A. C.P. Vaughan and Mark Vaughan, representing Vaughan Crest and
Vaughan Co. , developers of Cibolo North Unit 2 Subdivision
atteiaded the Council meeting to request variances to the Sub.
Ordinance. A copy of variances requested is attached to minutes.
Mr. Vaughan is requesting re-zoning of lots 1, 2, and 3 in Cibolo
North Unit 2 from single family to multi;;-family, due to lot
sizes and shapes. The Planning & Zoning Board had approved these
variances on June 9, 1981.
1. Jo Nirider (Gerald Thurman) made a motion the council approve
the re-Zoning request with the stipulation that if multi-
family re-zoning is not applicable it can remain single.
All approved.
2. Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) made a motion the Council approve
the variances to the Subd. ordinance requested by Mr. Vaughan.
All approved.
B. Cher-Ron Subdivision plat was reviewed by the Council. The
Planning & Zoning Board had approved the plat and variance re-
quests on June 9, 1981.
The variance approved by the P. & Z. Board is:
The Developer Ed Cullivan had requested permission to comply ifith
Guadalupe County Subd. Ordinance and be granted a variance to the
City Ordinance. The P. & Z. Board requested 3 fire plugs instead
of 2. Mr. Cullivan and Andrew Tolle, Bldg. Insp. and the P. & Z.
Board had discussed water line sizes and had come to an agreement.
Line sizes agreed to are 6" lines leading from Green Valley Water
Supply 10" water lines instead of 4011nes. These 6" water lines
will feed into the fire plugs. The 4" water lines will be used
in other areas of the subd. This will form a loop system.
Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) made a motion- the Council approve final
plat with variances that had been approved by P.& Z. Board at
their June 9, 1981 meeting. All approved.
C. Lawn Mowing charges was discussed. Jo Nirider (Fred. Niemietz)
moved the city set a charge of $25.00 per hour or fraction thereof
for mowing lots in town. All approved.
Barbara was instructed to send a second letter stating charges to
those property owners who had been notified to mow thier lots/lawns
(People involved were called and informed of charges.) t

D. Gerald Thurman (Jo Nirider) made a motion that Barbara send -a
letter to the County Commissioners Court requesting 2 weeks notice
for the public hearing on the 100 added tax to finance improve-
ments at Guadalupe Valley Hosp. and that the hearing be held at
7:00 p.m. All approved.
E. An update on cleaning out ditches on N. Main was given.
Fischer Construction of New Braunfels used their Gradall at $45.00
per hour and Andrew Tolle hauldd off the dirt and wees in his dump
truck.
6. BILLS- TO BE APPROVED: Fred ;Niemietz (Jo Nirider) made a motion the bills be
approved. All approved.
7. ADJOURNMENT: Gerald Thurman (Jo Nirider) moved the meeting ba adjourned at
10:13 p.m. All approved.
