OCTOBER 5, 1981
1. CALL TO ORDER: 5:30 P.M. Mayor Ling
2 . QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Ling, Councilmembers Nirider, Smith, Niemietz,
Swenson, Thurman. City Secretary Barbara Glenewinkel.
3. INVOCATION: Mayor Ling
4. MINUTES: Jo Nirider (Marge Smith) moved the minutes of the
previous meeting be approved. All approved.
5. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Jo Nirider (Sig Swenson) moved the bills be approved
for payment. All approved.
6. NEW BUSINESS: A. Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz)made a mot16n the
Council approve Ord.. #289 setting the tax rate for
the year of 1981 at .5611 for each $100 of assessed
value. All approved.
B. Annexation Ordinance. The first reading of Ord. #288
annexing 46.074 acres of the Robert Dean, Benjamin
Pfeil and Henry Pfeil property.
C. Sig Swenson (Jo Nirider) made a motion the City of
Cibolo grant Mr. & Mrs. R. Hamm, Mr. & Mrs. Ernie Fiegl
and Mr. & Mrs . Ronnie Robertson permission to put in
a 20' easement road to be used by property owners only
and the city will not be responsible for maintaining it .
All approved.
D. The cut in the Revenue Sharing allocations was discussed.
A letter from T.M.L. was read suggesting the cities write to�
President Reagan asking him to reconsider the 12% cut.
E. Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) made a motion the Council
approve the amendment to the Traffic Ordinance
establishing the speed limits on the new streets in
Cibolo North Unit 1. All approved.
F. Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) made a motion the Council
approve the Amendment to the Traffic Ordinance to add
the new streets in Cibolo North Unit 1 to the list of
"STOP" streets.
G. Fred Niemietz (Sig Swenson) moved that the Council
authorize the firm of Garcia & Wrigth to make the first
draft of a water services agreement/contract between the
City of Cibolo and Green Valley Water Supply Inc .
H. Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the council nominate
Theo Reinhard for a place on the Board of DLrectors of
the County Tax Appraisal District. All approved.
