1 . CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 P.M. Mayor Ling
2 . INVOCATION: Mayor Ling
3. QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Ling, Jo Nirider, Fred Niemietz, Sig Swenson, Gerald
Thurman, Chief of Police Jeronimo Marin, and City Secretary

4. VISITORS: Miguel Troncosa, Debbie Smith, Debbie Schneeberger, Bill
Little
5. MINUTES: Jo Nirider (Gerald Thurman) moved the minutes of the
previous meeting be approved. All approved.
6. OM BUSINESS
A. Bleachers: Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the Council purchase and
have delivered bleachers from Texas Surplus Agency in Kirby. All approved.
Commissioner Ackerman had located bleachers which are in need of repair.
They were put on hold by Mr. Ackerman for the city and after being inspected
by the Park Commissioner, Fred Niemietz, and Building Inspector, Andrew
Tolle, it was decided to purchase the bleachers and repair them for use
at the ball field.
B. Ant Poison. The Council authorized $1 .00 a pound and up to 100 1b. be
spent for County ant poison.
C. Water Rating St Paul's Church.. -The water rating at the Church was
determined to be commercial since -it could definitely not be considered
residential.
D. Public Hearing Minutes: Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved the minutes
of the March 18, 1982 Public Hearing on Annexation be approved. All
approved.
E. Workshop: A workshop was set for April 8, 1982 at 7:00 P.M. with
Financial Advisor Tom Anderlitch to discuss plans for street paving,
drainage and water expansion.
Fred Niemietz (Jo Nirider) moved Garcia & Wright Engineers be authorized
to proceed as previously outlined to obtain information on water
expansion plans.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. The letter from Oliver Chamberlain, the lawyer representing the Tolle
Rd Homeowners Association was read by Mayor Ling. Mr. Chamberlain
stated among other things homeowners concern over numerous septic
tanks being placed in such an area. A copy of letter is attached to
original minutes in minute book.
B. Fred Niemietz (Jo Nirider) made a motion that Monday April 5, 1982,
6:00 P.M. be set for canvassing the votes of the April 3 election.
All approved.
C. Zoning map approved by P&Z and forwarded to Council was discussed.
It was tabled until a future meeting.
D. Veteran's Day Celebration Committee was discussed. The Greater Randolph
Area Veteran's Council are requesting that the city send a representative
to the Veteran's Council to help plan the celebration. The Council's
representatives will be Jo Nirider and Sig Swenson.
E. A workshop was set for 7:00 P.M. Thursday April 8, 1982 with the City
City Financial Advisor, Tom Anderlitch. The Council set 6:00 P.M.

F. New Park Sign. Jo Nirider suggested the Council have a new sign put
at the entrance to the park.
Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved Jo Nirider be in charge of gathering
the information on the new sign. All approved.
G. Tri-Caunty Office Equipment Contract was discussed. Jesse Atzger, formerly
of South Texas Printing, is now an employee of the Tri-County firm.
South Texas does not have-a, Royal -Typewriter Service man.
Sig Swenson (Gerald Thurman) moved the city have a service contract for
the Royal typewriter at City Hall with Tri-County Office Equipment of
New Braunfels. All approved.
H. Sig Swenson (Fred Niemietz) moved a caution light for the city truck be
purchased. All approved.
8. BILIS TO BE APPROVED: Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved the bills be approved
for payment.
9. ADJOURNMENT: Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved the council adjourn at 8:15 P.M.
All approved.
