2 . INVOCATION: Mayor Ling
3. QUORUM CHECK: Mayor Ed Ling; Councilmembers: Marge Smith, Fred Niemietz,
Sig Swenson, Bill Little; Chief of Police L. D. Van Scoy,
City Secretary Iva R. Amacker (Jo Nirider - Absent)
4. MINUTES: Sig Swenson (Marge Smith) made a motion that Minutes of
November 4, 1982, Regular Meeting and November 12, 1982,
Special Meeting be approved. All approved.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None
6 . OLD BUSINESS:
A. Dobie Water Lines
Project being held up waiting for reply from Schertz regarding
locating line on north side of Borgfeld Road.
B. Sewer - Haeckerville Road
Mr. Niemietz stated that Mr. Wilson had approached him regarding
the proposed sewer line for Haeckerville Road. (No information
on feasibility available. Mr. Mullins will forward information
in time for 29 Nov 82 Workshop.)
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. City Hall to Close November 26, 1982
Fred Niemietz (Marge Smith) made motion that City Secretary be
allowed to close City Hall on Friday, November 26, 1982 .
All approved.
B. Hiring Part-time Policeman
Sig Swenson (Fred Niemietz) made motion that the city hire Joel
Roserr as Part time Policeman, to work minimum of 25 hours
per week at $3.35 per hour with maximum pay of $100.00 per week.
All approved. (Employment to continue as long as department is
self sustaining.)
C. Part-time Clerical Help
Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) made motion to hire Lynette Mabee as part-
time lerical help at $3.35 per hour for approximately 20 hours
per week. All approved.
D. Change Council Meeting Date
Marge Smith (Sig Swenson) made motion to change date of first regular
meeting in December from December 2nd to December 6th. All approved.
E. Welcome Social `
Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) made motion that we have welcome social
(in order to introduce our new City Administrator to our citizens)
on December b, X982 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. All--'-approved.
9. BILLS `O BE kP�OVED: Marge Smith (Sig Swenson) made motion bills be
approved for payment. All approved.
