Min CC 01/17/1983 - Workshop CITY OF CIBOLO MINUTES OF THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP JANUARY 17 , 1983 1 . CALL TO ORDER : 7 : 00 P .M. Mayor Ed Ling 2 . INVOCATION : Mayor Ling 3 . QUORUM CHECK : Mayor Ling ; City Administrator Tommy Brooks ; Council Members : Jo Nirider , Marge Smith , Fred Niemietz , Bill Little , Sig Swenson 4 . BUSINESS AT HAND : A. Proposed Weed and Trash Ordinance was reviewed . No changes were recommended . B . Proposed Planning and Zoning Commission Ordinance was reviewed . No changes were recommended . C . Mayor Ling read a letter from the new County Judge and requested that a letter be sent to the Judge inviting him to attend Cibolo Council Meetings . D . After a review of opinions submitted by the City Attorney on various items , Council member Bill Little requested that an item be place on the next council meeting agenda to consider the Seguin Gazette Enterprise as the newspaper to publish official city information E . Council member Fred Niemietz expressed his appreciation to the Universal City SWAT team members for their recent assis- tance to the city . he recommended that some type of donation be made to the SWAT team to replace equipment that was used by that team at their own expense . It was agreed upon by the council that the City Administrator should purchase replace- ment items for the Universal City SWAT Team. F . Mayor Ling expressed his appreciation to Reserve Police Officer Mike Hendrickson for his recent assistance to the city. He stated he had worked many hours more than required of a Reserve Police Officer and recommended that Mr. Hendricksc be reimbursed for his time . The council was in agreement . The City Administrator advised the council that he had already done so . G . There was general discussion about using the services of Mr. Tolle to do water line work during the street and drainage project . The City administrator was directed to advise Mr . Tolle that the City was expecting him to do that work . H . The City Administrator advised the Council that Mr. Tolle had asked him to ask the council about the extension of a water line to his property and to Mr. Ken Kroger ' s property . The council commented that the subject had been previously discussed by the council and Mr . Kroger. The major stated that the council is waiting for a proposal to be submitted to them for consideration and that the council is willing to negotiate , depending upon what proposal is submitted . 5 .
