1 . CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Little 7:00 P.M.
2 . INVOCATION: Dannie Bishop
3. ROLL CALL: Mayor Little; City Administrator Tom M. Brooks; Councilmembers
Jo Nirider, Marge Smith, Fred Niemietz, Dannie Bishop, Bill
Wiederstein; City Secretary Iva R. Amacker
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Jo Nirider (Marge Smith) moved that minutes of Regular
Meeting of April 7, 1983, Workshop April 11 , 1983 and
Workshop April 18, 1983 be approved with correction of Item
10A (April 18 Workshop) "Mr. Little indicated that he
had received several complaints from citizena concerning
yards grown up in weeds. Mr. Brooks is gong to get out
a newsletter calling the attention of our citizens to the
ordinance pertaining to keeping weeds cut. As a last
attempt letters will be sent to individuals who do not
comply with ordinance ."
5. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved bills be approved
for payment. All approved.
6. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None
7. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Mobile Home - Kroger Greenhouse
Mr. Ken Kroger requested permission to locate a mabile home on his
business premises to serve as office space and a security residence.
Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) moved that Mr. Kroger be given permission
to locate mobile home on his property with understanding that he
sign specific use permit. All approved.
B. Darnell Estates
Mr. Arvid Darnell presented (1 ) letter from County Health Officer
granting him permission to add nine septic tanks and (2) drawing
showing location of additional trailer spaces.
Marge Smith (Bill Wiederstein) moved that Council approve Mr. Darnell's
request to install nine additional trailer spaces. All approved.
C. Returned Check Ordinance
Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved we adopt ordinance establishing $5.00 fee for
checks returned for non-sufficient funds. All approved.
D. Junk Vehicle Ordinance
Fred Niemietz (Marge Smith)- moved that we adopt Junk Vehicle
Ordinance , All approved.
E. Age 65 Tax Exemption
Fred Niemietz (Bill Wiederstein) made a motion that the City of Cibolo
grant a $3,000 homestead exemption for citizens 65 years of age or older
effective with 1983 tax year. All approved.
8. Council went into Executive Session under provisions of Article 6252-17,
Section 2(g) .

A. Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) made the motion that authorized to
complete ballot' to vote for Pat Dietz, Kermit Harborth and Cris Frias
for members of Board of Directors of Chamber of Commerce. All approved.
B. Marge Smith- (Bill Wiederstein) nominated Fred Niemietz as Mayor
Pro Tem. All approved.
11 . Items by City Administrator:
A. _ UACC. Cable Television made a rapid response. Service should be
available to our subdivision by June 1 , 1983•
B . Council provided copies of W. H. Mullins report and report of
financial advisor concerning extension of water line to Town Creek.
C. Mr. Brooks will prepare letters to Universal City and Schertz
requesting their assistance in Civil Defense emergencies.
12. ADJOURNMENT: 8:58 P.M. Jo Nirider (Bill Wiederstein) made motion to
adjourn. All approved.
