MINUTES OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MAY 195 1983
1 . CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 P.M. Mayor Little
2 . INVOCATION: Dannie Bishop
3 . ROLL CALL: All Present
4. 0 en Bids on Police Vehicle: Two identical bids were received. The bids
will be held for further information.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Fred Niemietz (Dannie Bishop) moved that minutes of
5 May 1983 Regular Meeting and 16 May 1983 Tbrkshop
be approved. All approved.
6. BILLS TO BE APPROVED: Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved that bills be approved
for payment. All approved.
7 . CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: Joe Torchia appeared and asked the Council to sponsor
a Boy Scout Troop in Cibolo . Council agreed it was a
good idea. To be placed on next workshop agenda.
8. APPROVAL OF REVISED CONSTRUCTION ON PFEIL ST.
Original plans call for Pfeil St . to be leveled up and addition of seal coat
on that portion of street between Wiederstein St . and Main St. Council
discussed the problem of drainage on Pfeil and Main St. The advisability
of putting a drainage pipe under Main St. was discussed.
Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) made a motion to authorize Mr. Mullins to make
a study on street to determine a way to drain water. To do what is required
to get rid of water by most economical method. All approved.
9. WATER CONTRA CT/GREEN VALLEY WATER CORP. INC.
Bill W:iederstein (Dannie Bishop) made motion that Council authorize
Mayor Little and City Administrator, Tom Brooks, to negotiate with Green
Valley Water Corp., Inc . for water services for Town Creek Subdivision.
All approved.
10. CONSIDER CHANGE OF CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP NIGHTS
Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved that we schedule our workshop meetings for
the first Tuesday after the first regular meeting of the month. All approved.
11 . EVALUATION OF CITY SERVICES
Jo Nirider (Fred Niemietz) moved we table the evaluation for time being.
All approved.
12 . PURCHASE OF ANOTHER POLICE VEHICLE.
Mr. Brooks recommended that the city purchase another police vehicle
inasmuch as the% present vehicle has reached the stage where cost of repairs
is prohibitive. Cost of vehicle plus outfitting same will be about
$4000.
Fred Niemietz (Jo Nirider) moved that we authorize Mr. Brooks to purchase
a police vehicle. All approved.
13. EXECUTIVE SESSION under provisions of ART 6252-17, Sec 2(9) V.T.0.S.
NO ACTION TAKEN.

• 14. CONSIDER ADOPTION OF CITY PERSONNEL POLICY.
Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved that City Personnel Policy be adopted. All approved.
15. ADJOURNMENT: 8:20 PM. Marge Smith (Dannie Bishop) moved to adjourn. All approved.
