MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

1 . CALL TO ORDER: 7:00 P.M. Mayor Little
2 . INVOCATION: Dannie Bishop
3 . ROLL-CALL: All present
4. CONSENSUS ITEMS:
a. Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) moved that minutes of 16 June 1983
meeting be approved. All approved.
b. Bill Wiederstein (Fred Niemietz) moved that bills be approved for
payment. All approved.
5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD: None
6. RANDOLPH-BROOKS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Mr. Silver C. Crim, Vice President of Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union
appeared before the council to explain the benefits of the credit union.
He explained that all the citiesin this area except Cibolo had already
petitioned the Credit Union to amend their charter tb'allow the- - city'---
employees and elected officials to join the Credit Union. Mr. Crim
explained that the City of Cibolo could provide this opportunity to their
officials and employees be submitting a letter to the Credit Union
requesting that their charter be amended to include the City of Cibolo .
Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved that we send letter to Randolph Brooks
Credit Union asking that their charter be amended to include the City of
Cibolo .
Jo Nirider, Marge Smith, Fred Niemietz, Dannie Bishop voted FOR motion,
Bill Wiederstein Abstained.
7. CABLE TV BILL (S. (6) Federal "Cable Communications Act of 1983.
TML requests that each city pay 1¢ per capita in order to help them in
their fight against S. 66.
Marge Smith (Fred Niemietz) moved that the City of Cibolo pay the 1 ¢
per capita on 1980 census ($5.49) . All approved.
8. Items by Mayor and Councilmembers:
a . Mayor Little reported that he and Mr. Brooks had met with Green
Valley Water Corp. and that negotiations would resume after they
meet with Mr. Harvey Hardy, City Attorney.
b. Mayor Little reminded the council that they have talked about
priorities at various times and they need to get together and do
some long range planning.
It was the opinion of the council that a separate workshop should be
set for this project.
9. Items by City Administrator:
a. Mr. Brooks expressed the opinion that in the near future, TML would
request help in the fight against Southwestern Bell Telephone rate
increase.
b. Police car will be in no later than 15 July 83 . Equipment will be
• added gradually.
c. Water improvements project will be accepted in near future. We
will save approximately $6,000 on this project .
10. ADJOURNMENT: 7:33 P.M. Marge Smith (Jo Nirider) moved that meeting be
adjourned. All approved.
