MINUTES OF PUBLIC ZONING HEARING
AUGUST 21, 1984
1. CALL TO ORDER: 6:30 Mayor Bill Little
2. ROLL CALL: CITY COUNCIL PLANNING & ZONING

3. The purpose of the Public Zoning hearing was to provide citizens
the opportunity to offer their comments regarding a request by
C.P. Vaughan to establish Multi-Family Dwelling Zoning
for two parcels of land described aS FOLLOWS:
A. 2.09 acre tract of land out of the A.S. Lewis Survey,
ABS No. 216 (4 tracts at Schlather & North Main)
B. 4.815 acre tract of land, A. S. Lewis Survey 216 located on
FM 1103.
4. Mr. Vaughan presented information as to his plans for construction of
duplexes on referenced tracts of land.
5. COMMENTS OF INTERESTED PERSONS:
A. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Hill and Mrs. Stephen Boucher appeared
and spoke in opposition to rezoning the area on Schlather St and North
Main. They own property adjacent to property being rezoned and
commented that deed restrictions on their property call for
single family dwellings. They propose to consult their
attorney on this matter.
The mayor offered the comment that the City is not
responsible for enforcing deed restrictions on private
property.
B. Mr. T.J. Harris voiced his disapproval of the rezoning.
6. Mayor Little polled the Council and P&Z members and they
indicated their unanimous approval of the rezoning.
7. ADJOURNMENT: 7:00 P.M. Jo Nirider (Dannie Bishop) moved
meeting adjourn. All approved.
