MINUTES
1. Call to Order—Mayor Dunn called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
2. Roll Call — Council Present: Mayor Dunn, Councilwoman Schultes, Councilman Garrett, Councilwoman
Gebhardt, Councilman Russell, Councilman Hogue and Councilman Weber; Staff Present: City Manager Herrera
(6:55 pm), City Secretary Cimics, Finance Director Miranda,ED Director Luft,Fire Chief Niemietz,Police Chief
Cox, and Planning&Engineering Director Klein.
3. Presentation/Discussion on the Economic Development Corporation proposed 2016/2017 budget.
Mr. Luft the ED Director and the Finance Director Ms. Miranda gave a power point presentation on the EDC
budget. Council wanted to make sure enough money was allocated for Economic Development employees to
attend the conferences in Las Vegas,Austin and other that might come up in the coming year. Council wanted to
make sure the EDC was getting out and spending time with current businesses.
4. Public Hearing
A. The City of Cibolo will hold a Public Hearing to hear public input concerning the proposed tax rate for
2016/2017.
This public hearing was briefed by the Finance Director Ms. Miranda. The Mayor opened the public hearing
at 7:13 pm. No one wanted to speak and the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:14 pm.
B. The City of Cibolo will hold a public hearing on the budget to hear public testimony concerning the proposed
budget for FY 2016/2017. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by$428,311
(5.84%), and of that amount $384,375 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this
year.
The Budget was presented by Ms. Miranda the Finance Director. Council had an opportunity to ask questions.
Mayor Dunn opened the public hearing at 7:19 pm. No one spoke and Mayor Dunn closed the public hearing
at 7:20 pm.
5. Executive Session
The City Council will meet in Executive Session as authorized by the Texas Gov't Code Section 551.074 074
Personnel Matters to discuss:
A. Annual Performance Evaluation of the City Secretary.
Council convened into executive session at 7:12 pm.

6. Open Session
Reconvened into Regular Session and take/or give direction, if necessary, on items discussed in Executive
Session.
Council reconvened into open session at 7:58 pm. Councilwoman Schultes made the motion to increase City
Secretary Cimics pay by 3%. Motion was seconded by Councilman Garrett. For: All; Against: None. Motion
carried 6 to 0.
7. Adjournment: Councilman Hogue made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:59 pm. Motion was seconded by
Councilwoman Gebhardt. For: All;Against:None. Motion carried 6 to 0.
