THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED
CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1988 AT 7 :00 P.M. AT
THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 109 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO,
TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING AGENDA WAS FOLLOWED:
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Mayor Sam Bauder called the meeting to order at 7:00
P.M.
2. INVOCATION.
Council Member Bob Glisar gave the invocation.
3. ROLL CALL.
Members present : Mayor Bauder, Billie Little, Jeff
Miller and Bob Glisar. Absent: Tex Farnsworth and Tino
Delgado. Staff present: David Walker, Ann Smith and
Skipp Tullgren.
4. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD. (Limit 3 Minutes Each)
Mr. Steve Liparoto addressed the Council to express
appreciation on behalf of the residents of Thistle Creek
for the operation of the City. Mr. Liparoto stated that
as things usually go, "citizens only come forward if they
have a complaint or problem" and he just wanted to thank
the city council and staff for their efforts.
5. CONSENSUS ITEMS:
A. MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, OCT. 4, 1988.
B. FINAL CHECK REGISTER FOR FISCAL YEAR 87-88.
Billie Little (Jeff Miller seconded) motioned to approve
concensus items, as presented. All approved. Motion
carried.
6. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF
A TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM APPLICATION TO THE
TEXAS DEPT. OF COMMERCE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
Jeff Miller (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to open for
discussion. Mr. Miller questioned what the community
development fund was. Mr. Walker explained that the
C.D.F. was the "title" for the Texas Dept. of Commerce
Grant Application. Mr. Miller ask if the current water
line project would effect the grant award based on the
fact that the city was able to do it with capital
improvement funds. Mr. Walker stated that it would
probably improve our applications due to the _Committee
looking at the applicants ability to support their
• services. Mayor Bauder called for a motion. Jeff
Miller (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to approve the
resolution. All approved. Motion carried.

7. PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING OCTOBER AS "COUNTRY MUSIC
MONTH" .
Mayor Bauder presented a proclamation to Mr. Dell
Richardson and Nolan Edwards of the V.F.W. in Schertz
proclaiming October 23rd as County Music Day in Cibolo.
8. 'APPROVE/DISAPPROVE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSITION 1:
THE GOOD ROADS AMENDMENT.
Jeff Miller (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to open for
discussion. Jeff Miller ask for a clarification of- the
proposition and ask if we would be able to notify
citizens of the Council ' s action regarding this
proposition on the November 8th ballot . The staff
stated that we would put something in the newsletter
and hopefully the media would bring attention to it in
their weekly addition.
Jeff Miller (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to -approve
the resolution. All approved. Motion carried.
9. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS.
Billie Little expressed appreciation to Chief Tullgren
for assistance with the Dobie Carnival .
10. COMMENTS BY STAFF.
David Walker informed the Council that the water
transmission line was approximately 2000 ' in the
construction process.
Also, Mr. Walker stated that the staff had been doing
some street patching within the City and hoped it would
improve the life of the streets.
11 . . COMMENTS BY MAYOR.
Mayor Bauder read a request from the Wiederstein P.T.C.
request that the City donate some Cibolo Cookbooks and
T-Shirts for their Country Carnival . Mrs. Little ask
if Dobie could receive some of the cookbooks for their
carnival , also. The consensus of the Council was to
donate the remainer of the T-shirts and 50 cookbooks to

_ Wiederstein and 50 cookbooks to Dobie.
12. ADJOURNMENT.

adjourn. All approved. Motion carried.
