MINUTES OF REGULAR CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING

TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 1990
THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED
CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 1990 AT 7:00 P.M. AT
• THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL OFFICES, 109 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO,
TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING WAS THE ORDER OF BUSINESS:
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Mayor Bauder called the meeting to order at 7 :28 P.M.
after a film presentation from Councilman Bob Glisar on
a recent trip to Africa to re-model a hospital pharmacy
and a video produced by the Lower Colorado River
Authority for economic development in Guadalupe County.
2. ROLL CALL.
All council members were present. Staff present:
David Walker, Ann Smith, and Chief Suiter.
3. INVOCATION.
Council Member Bob Glisar gave the invocation.
4. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD.
No one requested to address the Council.

Bob Glisar (Tex Farnsworth seconded) motioned to
approve as presented. All approved. Motion carried.
6. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE PROPOSED 190-91 BUDGET CALENDAR.
Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to
approve the proposed budget calendar. All approved.
Motion carried.
7. APPROVE/DISAPPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH JOHN E. BRINKMEYER
ESTATE.
Tex Farnsworth (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to
authorize the mayor to sign a contractual agreement
with Mr. Brinkmeyer allowing the city to act as
contractor on his behalf on the placing of 20" casing
under the proposed Loop 539 highway and the extension
of 150 ' of sewer line. Mr. Brinkmeyer submitted
payment of $1,800 (cost of 6" casing) in exchange for
the right to use our casing and $5,000 earnest money to
cover the sewer extension. All approved. Motion
carried.
8. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS.
Tex Farnsworth mentioned that the C.V.D.A.C. would like
to place an article in the city newsletter, commended
the police department on their April Activity Report,
ask about the "Earth Day Project of Corbert Jr. High,
when the fire department addition construction was
scheduled to start and invited the council to the
Marion FFA wild game dinner and auction on
Saturday,June 7th and the Spurs Foundation "tasting
bee" at North Star Mall Food Court Sunday, June 10th.

Tino Delgado ask about the "no thru truck ordinance, if
the P & Z had reviewed the slab requirements and the
weeds and high grass in Thistle Creek.
9. COMMENT BY STAFF.
David Walker mentioned that the utility permit was at
the highway department and the recent letter over the
maintenance of Wiederstein Road by the County.
10. COMMENTS BY MAYOR.
Mayor Bauder announced that the Certificate of
Obligation, Series, 1990 had been approved by the
Attorney General and that funds would be wired to the
city on Tuesday, June 12th. Also, the mayor stated
that those interested in the semi-annual AACOG meeting
on June 20th to let the city secretary know.
11. ADJOURNMENT.
Tex Farnsworth (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to adjourn.
All approved. Motion carried.
