Min CC 08/23/1990 i 23' MINUTES OF REGULAR CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 1990 @ 7:00 P.M. THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 1990 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL OFFICES, 109 SOUTH MAIN ST. , CIBOLO, TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING WAS THE ORDER OF BUSINESS: 1. CALL TO ORDER. Mayor Bauder called the meeting to order at 7 :00 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL. Present: Jeff Miller, Bob Glisar, Mark Buell, Tex Farnsworth and Mayor Bauder. Staff: David Walker, Ann Smith and Chief Suiter. 3. INVOCATION. Council Member Tex Farnsworth gave the invocation. 4. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD. (Limit 3 Minutes Each) No citizens were present . 5. CONSENSUS ITEMS: A. MINUTES OF BUDGET WORKSHOP, AUG. 7, 1990 @ 5:00 P.M B. MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING, AUG. 7, 1990 @ 6:00 P.M. C. MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING, AUG. 14, 1990 @ 7:00 P.M. Tex Farnsworth (Mark Buell seconded) motioned to approve as presented. All approved. Motion carried. 6. REPORT AND UPDATE FROM THE CIBOLO VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT. ON THE PROGRESS OF THE CONSTRUCTION/REMODELING OF THE FIRE STATION. No one was present from the fire department; however, David Walker briefed the council on the status. The designs have been delivered to an engineer for evaluation and construction start-up will possible begin in October, 1990. 7. APPROVE/DISAPPROVE RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE RELOCATION OF THE MAST UNIT (507TH MEDICAL COMPANY - AIR AMBULANCE) FROM FT. SAM HOUSTON TO FORT HOOD AND SUPPORTING THE RETAINING OF THE MAST UNIT IN SAN ANTONIO. Tex Farnsworth (Jeff Miller seconded) motioned to approve the resolution opposing the relocation of the Mast Unit. All approved. Motion carried. 8. ACCEPT THE 1990 CERTIFIED TAX ROLL PREPARED BY THE CHIEF APPRAISER OF THE GUADALUPE COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT. The Council acknowledged receipt of the 1990 certified appraisal roll from the Chief Appraiser. G 35 MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING (Cont'd) Thursday, August 23, 1990 @ 7:00 P.M. 9. APPROVAL/DISAPPROVAL OF DISPOSAL OF 1982 AND 1985 DODGE PATROL CARS. 4, Jeff Miller (Tex Farnsworth seconded) motioned to approve disposing of the 1982 & 1985 Dodge Patrol Cars at the next Universal City auction and to pay a part of the advertisement cost. All Approved. Motion carried. 10. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL MEMBERS. Tex Farnsworth reminded everyone of the upcoming Boysville auction. Mark Buell as if the Delta Chemical Inc. company was still interested in relocation to the Schneider Industrial Park in Cibolo. 11. COMMENTS BY STAFF. David Walker noted that we had received a letter from the Edwards Underground Water District accepting our drought management plan and that the new patrol cars had been received and were in the process of being_ quipped radar, lightbars and stripping. One car was Y completed and viewed b the Council. P 12. COMMENTS BY MAYOR. Mayor Bauder appointed Tex Farnsworth and Mark Buell to co-chair the 25th anniversary celebration committee. 13.
