Min CC 06/25/1991 MINUTES OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 25, 1991 THE CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL CONVENED IN A REGULARLY SCHEDULED COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 1991 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE CIBOLO MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 109 SOUTH MAIN STREET, CIBOLO, TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING WAS THE ORDER OF BUSINESS: 1. CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Sam Bauder called the meeting to order at 7 :00 P.M. 2. ROLL CALL. Members present: Bob Glisar, Mark Buell, Tex Farnsworth and Mayor Bauder Members absent; Tino Delgado and Jeff Miller Staff: David Walker, Ann Smith, and Wes Suiter 3. INVOCATION. Councilmember Tex Farnsworth gave the invocation. 4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. Mayor Bauder lead the group in the pledge. 5. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD. (Limit 3 Minutes Each) No citizens were present. 6. CONSENSUS ITEMS: A. MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, JUNE 11, 1991. Tex Farnsworth (Bob Glisar seconded) motioned to approve the minutes with a correction to Item 38 to read "sticker to be placed on the front door " rather than "on the refrigerator" . 7. DISCUSSION/WORKSHOP ON THE 1991-92 BUDGET PREPARATION. The staff presented the first draft of the 1991-92 Proposed Budget. David Walker highlighted each line of the proposed budget, allowing for Councill input as they moved through the draft. The proposed budget was figured with approximately $824 increase in proposed General Fund revenues and $7,900 increase in water and sewer revenues. The expenditures were proposed with "no pay increases and with a 5% increase in the pay salaries" . The consensus of the council was to review the information provided and have a workshop at a later date to discuss the proposal. 8. COMMENTS BY COUNCIL. Council Member Farnsworth ask if the maintenance workers wore safety belts . David Walker stated that they did not have the belts. Councilman Farnsworth stated that the belts were available thru Sam' s Wholesale Club for approximately nineteen dollars and - recommended that the city purchase two. It was the consensus of the Council to purchase safety belts as soon as possible. 9. COMMENTS BY STAFF. David Walker read a notice to the Council acknowledging the Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority as recipient of a Regional Award for the MINUTES OF CIBOLO CITY COUNCIL (Cont'd) June 25, 1991 treatment plant system and the right to compete national . 10. COMMENTS BY MAYOR. Mayor Bauder ask who wanted to participate in the Schertz 4th of July parade. Councilman Buell offered an antique car for the parade. Council members Farnsworth & Buell noted that the "Cibolo First Annual Celebration Committee" would be meeting soon and that ideas were being discussed as to the theme and type of event. 11.
