The City Council of the City of Cibolo,Texas met in regular session on
October 16,19699at 8:00 p.m.., in the Community room of the State Bank.
Mayor Schlather presided over the meeting and.all City Councilmen were
present.City Marshall Ed Higginson was also present.
The minutes of the previuus meeting was read and approved.
The financial statement was given and acdepted.
The mayor presented a new annexation map which was secured from W.F.
Castilla and it was found that it would have to be changed due to the
City of Schertz having annexed land aa.cross the highway and not leaving
the required distance between the two cites. The Mayor said he would
contact Mr. Castilla about this.
The Mayor presented a subdivision ordinance to be studied by the Council
and then acted on.
Also presented were ordinances for setting speed limits on the city streets
of Cibolo. These willbe acted on at another time.
Councilman Glenn Rhew was asked to contact mr. Charlie Strayhorn regarding
a signal light on the South side of the railroad crossing in Cibolo.
The City secretary was authorized to purchase a manuel for city secretaries
and clerk to help obtain,more imformation in during his job. Also, the
city secretary will contact the Texas Municipal League about rate &nd
franchises with the utility companies.
