Min P&R 09/24/2025PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING CIBOLO MUNICIPAL BUILDING 200 S. Main St. Cibolo, TX 78108 September 24, 2025 6:030 PM MINUTES 1. Call to Order — The meeting was called to order by Ms. McDaniel at 6:32 p.m. 2. Roll Call — Members Present: Ms. McDaniel, Ms. Tudyk, Ms. Lambert, Ms. Beach, Ms. Knapp, Ms. Hubbard, Mr. Msengi, and Ms. Namocatcat. Member Not Present: Ms. Rogers 3. Moment of Silence/Invocation — Ms. McDaniel ask for a Moment of Silence. 4. Pledge of Allegiance.— All members present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. 5. Citizens to be Heard This is the only time during the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting that a citizen can address the Commission. It is an opportunity for visitors and guests to address the Commission on any issue to include agenda items. All visitors wishing to speak must fill out the Sign -In Roster prior to the start of the meeting. The Parks and Recreation Commission may not deliberate any non -agenda issue, nor may any action be taken on any non -agenda issue at this time; however, the Commission may present any factual response to items brought up by citizens. (Attorney General Opinion - JC -0169) (Limit of three minutes each.) All remarks shall be addressed to the Commission as a body. Remarks may also be addressed to any individual member of the Commission so long as the remarks are (i) about matters of local public concern and (ii) not disruptive to the meeting or threatening to the member or any attendee including City staff. Any person violating this policy may be requested to leave the meeting, but no person may be requested to leave or forced to leave the meeting because of the viewpoint expressed. This meeting is livestreamed. No one signed up to speak during this item. 6. Discussion/Action A. Discussion/Action on the Fun Run Ms. McDaniel over the Fun Run Event scheduled for September 27b. She stated that the Ice Truck will not be able to stay on site. They will be dropping 30 161b bags. At the present time there are 10 coolers that we have been able to get for the event. Ms. McDaniel ask the PW Department if they could fill the two coolers they will be providing with water and ice. This way there will be some cold water available immediately. There are 650 bottle of water for the event. This water will require the volunteers to fill the remaining coolers with water and ice. Ms. McDaniel stated that they now have ten (10) tents. There are three tents that are 10 x 20, and two that are 12 x 12, and the remaining are 10 x 10. Mr. Hinze has volunteered his golf cart to be used for the event. The field has been reserved starting at lam the morning of the event. There will be two custodians and one Program Coordinator on site from the school district. City Staff will have two individuals at the event (Alex and Ramon). Tables, chairs, and cones will be brought over in the morning by staff. Chairs and tables will be required to be signed out and Ms. Beach volunteered to work that area. There will be three food trucks, and they will be in the front parking lot. Cones will be put out in that area. One of the large tent, tables and chairs put up in that area in case people want to sit down and eat during the event. Raffle prizes were discussed, and a list of the gifts were read out for everyone to know what had been donated. Ms. Namocatcat stated that she also had two 3 - month memberships to the YMCA. The memberships will be dropped off to the City Secretary in the morning. If anyone shows up and has not registered the will still be allowed to participate but not receive a bib or a number. The Commission has done a wonderful job coordinating this event and there is no doubt that this will be successful. Adjournment — Ms. Beach made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p.m. The motion was seconded by Ms. Tudyk. For: All; Against: None. The motion carried 7 to 0.
